Is vanaguide.com safe?

Could someone help me with not being able to finish download(nor cancel or close it) and not being able to open the program after restarting it.

I'll mirror it, and I'll give you my word that I didn't alter it from the version that's currently available on vanaguide.com, but it's up to you to do the requisite scans on it before running it on your system -- never run software mirrored by random people without doing so.

Here's a story. Just because I'm in the sharing mood.

Vana'Guide started life last September/October as an application, which Liam, the main developer came up with. After showing me a partially working version of it, I was interested enough to come on board the project and start working with him and others. We are not businessmen or con artists. We're just like you - Gamers. I know that Liam for one is obsessed with FFXI and has his heart in both the game and Vana'Guide.

We started Vanaguide.com in December with a mission to provide something different than what was currently out there in relation to FFXI websites and it was I who has spent a fair amount of time coming up with various interfaces and designs for the site. This is all while none of us recieve any kind of 'perks' other than the genuine pleasure I get when I see/hear that someone is enjoying the site and the application(s) that we offer.

Now, with this in mind, the Signature background competition, we felt, was a great way to build the Vana'Guide community. As you're already aware, we frequently come to forums and say thanks to those that choose to link to our site. We really appreciate people who support us. To show that, we decided to run the competition. Mogs.com offered to sponser the competition because they feel we're a site that's worth the support and we feel we are too and, as I say, it's a nice way to get more visitors to the site and hopefully support us in the future.

It disheartens everyone who is currently working on Vana'Guide when people accuse us of stealing accounts when we've done all that we can to show that we're not. Not only that, but we go one step further and, like I said, come and say thanks to those people that support us.

The prizes our both our way and Mogs.com's way of a gesture of good will. Regardless of whether you believe in RMT or not, it is the gesture behind it that we'd like you to remember; We are good guys, ready to make your gaming experience better.

With that in mind, it's been really great to see that the majority of people are enjoying our site and services and there's a lot more great stuff to come.

As good your intentions are, it's still promoting RMT, which is not something many of us find respectable, or even morally correct for the matter.

RMT stands for real money trade. Now unless you see imaginary currency flying about through the air... I have no idea what you're talking about. No REAL MONEY was traded in this case for the Final Fantasy XI gil. So before you start yelling "zOMG RMT!" at least get your side right.
