Regardless there are options to practice on other wyms, (Jorm is harder then Tiamat until 20% and his adds are alot harder potentially) and our first Tiamat was like 4hours, second was less then 2. If you have a SMART group that can watch other LSes and learn from your own mistakes...you shouldnt be taking 4+ hours everytime you fight a wyrm.[/quote:bb011]

I have honestly no idea where this is leading. Nowhere i guess, since this doesn't concern 95% of the people reading this forum. Wow I wish I read this thread earlier.

So much drama over a stupid Tiamat. Who gives a damn if some ls is taking so long to kill it.

My ls took 9 hours to kill our first Tiamat. It was our first CoP wyrm fight ever, and we had no idea what in the world we were doing back then (this was June of last year). We came incredibly close to wiping several times, and even let Tiamat regen from around 10% to 25% at one point because we were having a hard time recovering. Though it was not a flail, we had at one point most of our alliance dead. People were being sent up to zombie it so it didn't start the unclaimed-regen crap.

If we had some faggotry business like people dia-ing our adds and calling GM on us, we probably wouldn't have won. But we DID recover in the end, and won on our first Tiamat. Who's to say that Caffiene wouldn't have similarly recovered and won (btw our entire fight we only had 2 SMNs as well). Messing with someone else's fight is definently not cool. Yeah, even on Phoenix a lot of trash talking goes on, but for the most part nobody is as assholish as some of the things that I've heard go on here.

Give the guys a break. Yeah, even my ls is guilty of talking shit when others are taking a while to do a fight, but if anyone actually does something that interferes with the fight you bet your ass they'd be dealt with. I'm just glad we didn't have this kind of crap when we did our first wyrm fight.

My first LSs Tiamat took 4 hours and we lost at 7% (we didn't know we could sleep it).

As far as KS99 wyrm being some kind of way to practice... not really. Well, it does fly, and that is about the only similarity (besides the obvious wyrm things that go hand in hand, even at fafnir). KS99 really can't prepare you for a CoP wyrm decently enough to kill it with any sort of speed... at least for the first couple of tries anyway.

Not Manaburnable? Have you even fought Wyrm? Did you miss the part where he stays in the air for like 30% of the fight, and only RNGs (LOL!) or BLMs can do damage to him? If thats not leaning towards being manaburnable...I dont know what is.

Funny how Kupo wiped to tiamat today

Difference is we had about 18-20 people where you had allegedly about 40-50 from a variety of LSes all helping you (not a bad thing, but if we're pointing fingers then this has to be said). And, if you watched the fight closely enough you got the easy Timmy before it flailed you, not inferno blast/tebbad wing/touchdown in the same thirty seconds over and over and over again tiamat that Kupo had to fight.

But besides that yeah we wiped at 1% due to tanks getting their faces eaten before anyone could even blink :D

Well I've read the entire thread and have to agree that I have some friends that are pretty cool in kupo. I'm not going to generalize and call the whole shell bad as thats patently unfair. I will say that the acts of certain individuals were distasteful. I also have some very good friends in caffeine.

I don't know where the accusations of them [caffeine] stealing HNMs stems from. When I was in caffeine we had a newer member that wasnt clearly aware of "etiquette" and claimed KB when it turned gold. Vig came unhitched at the seems and demanded the person log off to return KB back to the original LS that was fighting it. They have, in all my experiences inside and out of that LS, been decent fair and fun people to hang out with.

Chubbs' comment on soloing elementals? I sincerely hope you you didnt mean the ones in behemoth's dominion, cuz yeah even an incompetent boob like yerself cant screw up on those. Until you know anything about soloing Tough elementals or Ose or any other sleepable mob/notorious monster SHUT THE FUCK UP. Youre -not- a BLM75. This seems to be pretty common on first Tiamats lol...

Our first one was pretty bad as well, because it was our first wyrm in general. We got it down to like 60% or something, but another Fenrir LS decided it would be a good idea to train Xolotl on us, and call a GM on us for holding lol.

The GM told us "You need to kill Tiamat in 5 minutes", luckily we were able to talk him out of it.

The hilarity of it all? The LS that called the GM had a member banned for fleehacking Xolotl onto us XD

We still ended up wiping though Firesday + Mighty Strikes + AE for the lose :/

Could have also used more people for the first try I guess, 18 + 4 for adds was pretty rough, considering the MPK attempts

I don't recall saying anything against you guys. I just basically told veritas to stop whining and play the game. There's people I like and get along with in both Caffeine and Kupo, and there's really no reason for anyone to get as worked up about an LS as he did. Though as far as calling a GM and diaing elementals,

calling a GM and dia'ing elementals seems like a pretty gay thing to do.

Yes, I've done Wyrm KS99 before as part of a conventional alliance and I didn't see how it could be manaburned quite like turtle or behemoth. Turtle = over in a couple rounds of nukes. KB = kite and nuke. Wyrm = haven't seen it manaburned yet. So, as it stands, the other two KS99s have a far "easier" way out... if you're into the manaburn sorta thing.

Well, almost every member in any HMNLS has mulitple level 75 jobs. It's called being good at more than one thing and being versatile. More than that, it's about having fun doing what YOU want to do. WTF. <3 Impulse.

During my experience I have found that there are some nice people in Kupo which is why I really have nothing bad to say about Kupo publicly ANYMORE. I just wish that the nice people overshadow the little kids that continue to give it a bad name. I honestly have faith that Derzoll will handle this situation the way it needs to be handled. As far as what happened, yeah, that was messed up. However, it happened and something else will happen tomorrow if these people are not put in check. Not these linkshells, but like I said, these people.
