you guys are bashing this guy on one song watch the other videos like "Rock On" or "Whose Autumn", they're quite good. And Cyprus: prove you can play it

Yeah Yngwie Malmsteem is way overrated...i know some people who are convinced he is the best guitarist ever....im just like....he can play fast, so what? I saw the G3 concert video with Joe Satrianni, Steve Vai, and Malmsteem. Vai and Satrianni rocked Malmsteem.

Yeah, all I saw was the one song, and that I can indeed play. I watched his other stuff, and he is pretty good.

When I play something, I find it's more difficult to emulate the musician's style than it is the technical aspect. I mean, when you hear someone playing something, like, Steve Vai or whatever, you can tell who it is just by their sound. If you get someone else to play it, you could tell the song, but might not be able to figure out who's playing.

    EDIT:

Those are maybe like 3 months old, except for the crapy Dual of Fates one.

I'm not even sure, my dad just bought some random program that records directly onto a computer. Cubase or something. The box that acts as a connection between my guitar and computer says "Omega" on it.

Ah, gotcha. Are those the only sound samples you have of your band?

Ha, we're like, not really a band. We don't have a singer or anything, so we get together and play random shit. We haven't learned many songs either. Those clips are improvised. I guess I can record more eventually, but right now my high E is broken and I need to figure out why the fuck I keep doing that. (Locking Tremelo doesn't like bending up apparently).

sounds like you have way to much tension on it - you using 9 gauges?

Yep. I might be stringing them wrong, but I'm not sure what aspect that would be. Basically I string it like a normal guitar and tune it, then I tighten the nut thing or whatever thats between the neck and head and continue to fine tune with the little adjustor thingies at the bridge.

10 gauges will break far less often (very seldom) when using the tremolo than 9 gauges. Also if you have a floating trem (floyd rose) you'll probably need to adjust the claw by pulling off the back plate and getting at it with a screwdriver. Usually the best position for tension and trem work is to have the face of the bridge even with the body cavity.

Sounds messy . I'm inept at understanding the technical aspects of guitars D:

EDIT: Yeah, I have a floyd rose
