Yea mnk used to be harder to level than drk is now, those were some tough days.

WAR was a pain, endgame. I was the only WAR in my HNMLS, and nobody ever let me do anything. I even got chastised for the times I did managed to sneak in and kite Kirin or tank aspido... before they slapped my wrist and said "Silly WAR, back to the 'special' party for you!"

Now its the cool job to be, and I've moved on to other jobs. My WAR is still fully geared, and I still upgrade it once in a while, but I tend to spend more time on other jobs than WAR (except in dynamis and limbus).

It's all about how much respect (LOL) you have.

Why are they acting like BLM is overpowered in XP Pts? It's probably the most underpowered xp pt DD job at 75. Blm excels on IT+++s (no xp mobs like that at 75) and suffers on VTs (a majority of xp mobs at 75). I'll take a dragoon or thief any day for an xp pt over a black mage for a merit party assuming there is a bard. Black mage parties were nice in the tree on crabs and such, but warrior parties still gave as much or more even in the 50s. There's a reason why I came to most end game events on blm and got most of my merit points on war. I played my job pool to according to the activity.

If they want to nerf something about black mages, they should be nerfing them in the end game. However, I still stand by my statement that black mage would still be an important end game job even if they took away all nukes because of things such as stun/cure/sleepga2.

Its about tactics, not damage. Doing able to do over 10,000 damage at the same time can mess up anything.

You can't nerf BLM EXP parties without changing something STUPID to the game mechanics or BLM job itself. Can't wait to see what SE tries to pull off...

like reducing HNM melee defense and TP gain to something realistic for melees
