Thanks for that. Having to scroll horizontally = X. (Although it's the table size screwing it up.)Originally Posted by BRP

I don't think job balancing could mean just the new jobs, that would be pretty redundant to announce.
The booing is probly the result of fear, I'm pretty scared they'll resort to nerfing like their track record shows. WHen all the game realy needs is increased damage from 2hand weapons.
ack thanks for pointing that out, that's what I ge for rushing it.
Job balance might be the result of new spell and JA added, not a nerf. Just take berserk for example and how it change the game mecanics. If you give something as useful to certain job, you can change a lot of thing.

click on the bottom video (of the 2) on the right also for BLU in action.
I like how BLU casts its spells![]()

and blu spells being interruptible = gay.
Well the balance problem stems from player ingenuity, I mean if you believe the ninja class was never meant to tank which I've always been skeptical of that statement, maybe it was better than they thought giving them reason to leave the san spells out of it and that was their idea of balance.
I really really hope that it is all jobs and some actual balance so that no job is clearly more useful than all others, or at least tighten the gaps a little bit.
you must know something about blu I don't, because I haven't seen the full list of blu spells to make that kinda call, you have?Originally Posted by Correction
I know, getting interrupted is so gay, I mean its not like EVERY SINGLE JOB exept brd can get interrupted when casting.
the AOE spider slow move and whole audience screaming BLU was more than enough indication.Originally Posted by Xavier
I think he meant the BLM in the Beseiged video was a n00b. As long as a spell can be cast between the swings of a mob, (like a PLD casting Cure 2-4) being interrupted isn't a big issue. I think it's also safe to assume Blue Mage uses MP to use it's spells, and that TP isn't related.Originally Posted by Xavier
I really want to know what the other new jobs are.
Probably Geomancer since it was the most popular after BLU.
we will find out at 8![]()

pretty sure I just watched a video of a blue mage failing to cast what appears to be Wild Oats on some blob-thing. If something that low-level is interruptible I'm pretty sure more useful attacks like Hex Eye are interruptible. Imagine that, a skill where the mob must be facing you being constantly interrupted. Meanwhile your little scimitar misses.Originally Posted by Xavier
So yay, another paper-tissue mage job that relies on a party to get anything reasonably done.
The BLU got interrupted because he had no concept of how to cast in between a mobs swings. As far as I could see the first spell that was cast (looked like Diamond Dust) and Wild Oats both had the same cast time. So I don't think how powerful a BLU spell is will make the cast time shorter or longer. It looks to be a static cast time.Originally Posted by Correction
Has anyone thought the job balancing... will be making weaker jobs stronger as opposed to nerfing the big jobs?
Its a BALANCE not a NERF.
And didn't SE say they werent of the mind to nerf any more (or atleast they said something like that)?
The BLU seemed to stand up pretty well to the blob thing. Unless he was fighting a too weak, or they made it so he couldn't die during the presentation.Originally Posted by Correction
Why are you taking video simply there for visual effects seriously?
If Necromancer will be a job, I hope its cool.
