the funny thing is a combination of 4 war/nin/mnk 1 rdm 1 brd currently get more exp an hour than 5 blm and 1 brd

guess it'll take another year for alla noobs to catch up and start bitching about melee burns being overpowered

Something as simple as change resists so the current 'full' damage is more like max damage and have general BLM damage be more around 80% of current, and it fluctuates, but averages to the same as current. There are other ideas as well, such as for a few seconds after a nuke the mob gets increased magic defense unless it was a magic burst.

BLM is the only 'burn' party that breaks the inherint rule of taking damage. MNK 'burn' is just tossing a bunch of strong DDs with decent defensive capability at mobs that are weak to them.

Thats a problem with the players tendency to max/min instead of play whats fun. The tendency to max/min also ironically makes them weaker in many ways.
