Someone mentioned Puppets being fully customizable, I think that'd be kewl if it were true. Think about a semi-merit system for a puppet. Like, you have points as you level up that you can distribute into your Puppet various categories; reminiscent of the how Blue Mage works, which is by putting points into spells that you choose to have "equipped". I think this is the most logical speculation so far.

Be kewl if it were categories like, "Elemental Magic Skill" which raised your Puppets "BLM" level and allowed it to learn more spells. Maybe "Healing Magic Skill" which allowed your pet to learn curative spells and regens etc. Perhaps this proposed system is more like a merit system in that you can only upgrade things you already have, such as, STR, DEX, VIT etc. of your pet. Man, I see so much possibility in the Puppetmaster job it's hard to be as pessimistic as some of you others are being. Come on now, have a little faith in good ole SE.

Well since you maybe equip the puppet into your weapon slot, unless you can also equip a weapon in your sub slot, I'm guessing Puppetmaster is H2H from that screen of the Elvaan. Surely you wouldn't equip puppet in ranged or ammo slots... Maybe it's more of a mix of the Mime job and SMN... with the puppet as the Mime? *shrug* I don't think you'd summon your pet like a SMN or call it like a BST...

Yea, the reason that they're using H2H pose is because they have no (regular) weapon equipped.

Yeah and if we're lucky they won't gimp exp so it'd be like an efficient 12 man pty for the price of 6. Heh, thinking about sitting back watching 6 puppets all fight a mob mocking a normal exp pty. rofl, watch puppets voke and shit while others heal and nuke. That's such a kewl prospect. Hmmmm...

In all the pics I see, looks like Puppet master is using h2h. Elvaan and tarutaru both in h2h pose.

This jobs interests me, especially as a BST. I like the whole pet thing, interested in seeing what the pet does exactly. Does it fight? Does it aid? Is it the majority of our dmg like BST? Or the minority of our dmg like DRG? Or is it our only DMG like SMN?

Will the pet have a mind of it's own like NPC and cure/paralyna stuff?? etc.

Duno if someone realised b4, but in the video the Puppet also sits down to rest when the taru goes to rest. So its not like BST or SMN like. You can for sure rest with "it" i guess. Duno what to think yet, but iam sure it will be more then just something like a solo job ^^-

well since it was resting with him its more like a wyvern. So maybe itll be just that, but instead more mage like? Who knows, maybe some whole new creative idea - and maybe a whole new job noone will invite.

This job actually interests me more than the other two tbh, even though im rng and rdm, going bluemage or corsair would seem more fitting... but this is just so... just a different approach than what i expected.
