Even if it was no one would care. The puppet died or was dismissed in the opening seconds while Puppetmaster served as a camera for Blue Mage using their abilitys. I was bored at Fan Festival of that after about 30 seconds of realzing they werent going to show it in action. And as for the beta test thing with the npc, I think that is probably true. Large scale test to see if it was possible to actually implement it into the game and how many people would buy into it.

This jobs interests me, especially as a BST. I like the whole pet thing, interested in seeing what the pet does exactly. Does it fight? Does it aid? Is it the majority of our dmg like BST? Or the minority of our dmg like DRG? Or is it our only DMG like SMN?

Will the pet have a mind of it's own like NPC and cure/paralyna stuff?? etc.

Duno if someone realised b4, but in the video the Puppet also sits down to rest when the taru goes to rest. So its not like BST or SMN like. You can for sure rest with "it" i guess. Duno what to think yet, but iam sure it will be more then just something like a solo job ^^-

The puppet is a mimic, it's just mimicing the taru.

.. it's really not impressive at all lol... but everyone did freak out when they showed it. Everyone had been chanting 3rd job over and over again as the question and answer period of the second Dev panel ended. SE had not hinted at a 3rd job at this point... but everyone knew there was one.

From what they showed it was pretty pathetic, basically the pupped followed it into hero's combat and died really fast without doing much of anything. The Puppetmaster himself was doing hand to hand and it was just wierd to watch someone with obvious god mode on meleeing hand to hand. It was like watching someone try to kill maat with a warp cudgel or something along those lines. If it wasn't for the blue mage in there helping I think the fight could have gone on for an hour. He didn't resummon the puppet and almost never had hate... I have to go with the next drg speculation most people are giving it.

Cool trailer though, was exciting to see cerberous and what looks to be Odin. Nice to see it again, I didn't absorb it all at the fan fest. Hopefully they'll release a cleaner version although that one isn't half bad.

FFXI has good music it's just too repetitve, it shouldn't loop or should just have more of a randomized soundtrack. It's great when you first enter a zone and recognize the familiar music but if your there for 3 hours doing something it sucks after awhile. Still everytime I turn sound back on I always am impressed by how I remember and really like some of the songs.

This job actually interests me more than the other two tbh, even though im rng and rdm, going bluemage or corsair would seem more fitting... but this is just so... just a different approach than what i expected.

Corsair isn't the next Ranger. Corsair is the next Bard. At least that is what it sounds like to me, with all it's party boosting skills. (If you have a war in party.. Everybody gets double attack? OK!)

The trick to beating AV is having Odin one shot him. Here's hoping.

Honestly, I thought the thing at the end of the video looked more like Raiden than Odin.

It was pretty awesome though.
