Off the top of my head, in addition to Treants... there aren't Clots, Cardians, Uragnites, or Warmachines that are EP+ to 75.

EDIT: Excluding NM's of course. (There are Cardians in Win 9-2 BC, and Shen and other Uragnite NMs that are in exp range.)

I agree that you'll probably be able to learn blue magic in level-capped zones.

If we're including NM's I raise you Leshonki, don't those Boyahda Saplings rate EP to a 75 anyway too?

Less plot, a story that's straight to the point (instead of finding some shitty mirror fixing technique for a taru so he doesnt get caught in a pedophile ring), and a ton of content? Yes please.
    Do you hate FF1-10?

I think clots are typically classified as regular Ooze mobs with a different color. Do they have any abilities that an ooze doesn't have? As for the NM ones, my guess is that you won't be able to learn anything from an NM, and certainly not something in a BC since BC mobs don't give exp, and exp is one of the requirements. So, so far it seems like

    Cardian
    Treant
    Uragnite
    Warmachine
Bugard (just thought of this one)
    EDIT: Gigas

are out of the question for a BLU75.

I rarely go to Upper Delkfutt's Tower anymore, but I thought those were also TW to 75. Same with the Warmachines in the EP area of Davoi, thought those were all TW to 75 also.

Did anyone bother to ask if learning abilities from NMs would be possible?

The other thing is, are there any mob types that aren't high enough level to give exp to a LV75? (The possibility for a BLU to get screwed from learning an ability forever would suck.) Now that I think of it, how would this work in capped CoP zones for mobs such as hippogryphs, etc., unless they just won't use any BLU abilities from those (AoE Dispel WS from Hippogryph would be pretty pimp though).
    forever? you've never deleveled?

Maybe BLU will get a special JA at level 75 called "Delevel", and the effects last for like 30 minutes.

Mobs that do not have a non-NM version EP+ at 75:

    Cardian
    Clot
    Bugard
    Detector
Dragon (Shadow Dragon is the only non-NM dragon)
    Flytrap
    Treant
    Uragnite
    Warmachine

+ all the mobs that you can only find in level capped zones.
My own additions/corrections to the list.

KO: There will be more than one version of puppet to use.
Uh-oh, that's hawt. Maybe, and this may be wishful thinking here, the pet used in the video shown was a default pet, without any amazing stats/abilities ^^?

In the interview they said that you have to be BLU main, get XP from the mob, defeat it, and not die to learn Blue Mage spells. Why would you not be able to do all of that in a level capped zone?

There won't be any level cap zones in ToA iirc, though I guess you could go learn TP moves in CoP zones (Mortal Ray @_@; )

you'll get it and it'll miss 90% of the time.

if BLU can get the Empty WS that gives you 13213 shadows it will be the next tank job.

The way Blue Mage seems to be unfolding, I'd have to agree. It seems like they're going to have a plethora of abilities to choose from but be limited in the amount they can have at once. The customization seems like it will be vast and that you'll be able to lean toward and specialize in one of the job types currently in the game just never all at once.

That's what it sounds like Russta, but my hunch is that you will be able to reconfigure your ability distribution at any time. You'll never be locked into a "specialization" as you put it. But not really reconfigure at ANY time, because if you do it in the heat of battle then it's like you can just have every ability at once anyway.

I think you'll be able to reconfigure your ability distribution in your mog house, and inside your mog house you will be able to choose from anything you've learned. This would be great, it would be flexible in that you could learn every ability in the game (one of the big things that kept me playing Blue Mage in earlier FFXI games was trying to get those really hard to get abilities), and powerful enough that you could have whatever you needed assuming you come prepared.

For example, when you're looking for party and you get an invite, you figure out where you're going to level then configure your ability points so that you have access to stuff which would be beneficial against the mobs you're going to be fighting.

Sorry, I didn't really want to go off on a long tangent about how I think Blue Mage will work but what you said is how I believe it will be too. You will be locked in battlefield but can re-adjust your build in the Mog House for whatever the situation is about to be. I've always said I will level whatever the new tank job will be from ToAU job but I'm having a hard time working out just which job that is going to be now.

I find Corsair very interesting because of how much I love Bard but that's obviously not the new tank job of the three.

Blue Mage was always "just another mage" in my mind but now it seems it can be built into a pretty formidable tank.

Puppeteer... fuck knows. I guess it's possible that is the new tank job in the sense that you force the Puppet to tank but it's hard to speculate with absolutely no info available.

It's funny how I've had my set party planned for whatever the new job I level is for months now and the person who was going to level Blue Mage based on the fact it was simply a mage might have to level something else now lol. Meh, I hate all this conjecture, give us damn solid info already

I'm pretty sure that when Puppeteer was announced the exact wording of "and the third and final job to be announced is... Puppeteer!". Maybe I'm wrong but that's what I seem to remember, I'll have to check the videos again I guess and hope that I am.
