Anyway, CoP storyline(plot) is slick, interesting, and full of twists, but its not confusing at all. Its really, really watered down compared to most other FFs, while it is still good... its watered down. The only confusing thing about CoP was the SPOILERtwo LouveranceSPOILER, and that was on purpose I believe. If you run yourself through RoZ, CoP, and a couple of quests... and are still having trouble... go back to "Go Dog, Go". That has a less complex plot.

But the REASON I spammed enter is because a) I didn't understand CoP, b) everyone in my fucking PT kept telling me to spam enter so we could get into the BC sooner, and c) because the missions are so spaced out in terms of real life time that you forget what the fuck is going on. I thought CoP's storyline was pretty good, and the rewards for completing it were pretty good (hey, who bothered to do ZM 17 before Apocalyze Nigh?). Also, Limbus is awesome, and SMNs like me finally got a name for themselves when the CoP Wryms were implemented.

What made CoP fail more than anything else was the same thing that people praise RoZ for : The End-game zone you unlocked.

Sea sounded good to me at first. 95% of all of the drops there are Rare/Ex, and are still good, perfect for poor people like me, while also keeping the RMT discouraged from doing anything there.

What made it fail is no only the abysmal drop rates of said items (which by themselves wouldn't be that bad), but sometimes the monster won't spawn FOR NO REASON.

Who the hell wants to farm, and farm, and farm, farm, farm...trade the pop items, which popped off a previous NM you killed, just to have it maybe pop? Not too many people, especially those with a life outside of FFXI. Plus they are rare/ex, if one person gets those pop items, they HAVE to be there, while seals and gems from sky were a trade away.

The level capped areas sucked too, considering no one wanted to keep all that extra gear when you don't have much room anyway, and the new Dynamis Areas were planned very poorly, but sea popped NMs was where it really failed. And I'm pretty sure that means the Monster Planner guy should be the sniper rifle target.

the missions were awfully tedious but the CoP storylines and cutscenes themselves were fantastic. ffxi is the only mmorpg in the world that does these things. appreciate it.

i think the real problem here is that the entire ffxi development team is terribly managed and clueless about their own game. i think its a big cluster fuck. i don't think any of those guys in that picture, including sundi, have a real global scope on what's going on with the game.

i think you guys all give the devs way more credit than they deserve. when they dodge questions at the QA sessions like they always do, i dont think they're trying to be mysterious. i think they really have no fucking idea what the answer is. i bet if you sat 6 of those guys (from the picture the OP posted) down, lent them your lvl 75 characters, and told them to go do an xp session off weapons in sky, they'd probably wipe 3x and make about 1k xp per hour. i bet they wouldnt be able to kill Cemetery Cherry.

They did announce for the first time that they're currently developing full german and french translations of FF11 that will be available for download free of charge for anyone who bought the English version. Also, EU customers apparently haven't had the ability to use debit cards for their FF11 billing, but this is being addressed.

Have you met my good friend Balor? He is a singularity in which you dump Fomor Codexs and all you get from him in return is heartache and misery.

Non-100% drop rates on pop NMs and Jailers is the single biggest problem with CoP.

Sea is great for the people who have 8 or so hours a day to get pop items and deal with all the glitches. For part time ls's though it just sucks, at least you can dedicate a day to sky and come back with stuff for your ls coffer and some nice items for other people. Unfortunately it gets borring and there isn't a whole lot of alternative.

The problem with sea is that you spend 4 or 5 hours there, you get two chips to pop faith, a couple glitched nm's and after two or three runs no one gives a fuck because it sucked so much.
