In all the times we've killed him, we've gotten rings, mantles, and 100 piece (our first kill was all three, though he's had some stingy days since then), we've never once seen a 10k piece drop from him.

As far as I know, the only way to get a 10k piece is to trade the gob a stack of 100s, and then one more 100.
