there's one thing i noticed in those rules. once you get 5/5 you can change jobs for free, but you can't if you don't get 5/5. most jobs is not worthwhile to get 5/5.

Same applies to mine. WTF would I want 3-4 misc. other pieces of AF for if I'm not gonna usem...? So that guy who joined yesterday gets somethin. Gotta make sure he goes home happy.

You read my mind. Now for those of us who don't care about bein cute it's a waste of time.

If he chooses to change his main conveniently before a specific raid he can, it'll just cost him an additional 3 points... I'm merely pointing out our rules as they've been voted on and discussed at length within the shell.

I could've lived with that. For me to get a AF I've been waitin for I would have to spend 14 points [22/2-3=AF] to beat a n00b who just joined as my other job. The price of almost 5AFs for just 1. I couldn't deal with that. As similar as our rules are, our dynamis leader just came down from the mountain top and laid down the new rules on his own.

Moral of the story: Stop doing City runs with 64 people when you can clear them easily and farm for hours after with 20.

Public Dynamises are a thing of the past imo. Any LS that can do any type of HNMs should be able to clear and farm just about any Dynamis.

More currency and AF for everyone when you dont have to deal with lotting against 64 other people, and more dynamis runs are being done. Also decisions can be made moreso to benefit your LS, then just to make everyone happy.

How would anyone feel if they were invited to a shell for having a specific job, let's say RDM. You dedicated yorself to the shell earn enough points to finally be first in line to get a Dualist Chapeau, and all of a sudden a WHM that had 5 more points than you on the attendance list decided to "HAY GUYS I GOT MY RDM TO 75 last week" That Pimp hat is mine! 101010

This nearly happened in my HNMLS, who I don't do dynamis with (long story) except it was a BLM hat. Backstory - The person in question is a DRK75, MNK75 and loves his melee jobs, and has full AF2 for both I think. He leveled BLM to 75 to help the LS out which is pretty respectable. Heres an image captured before the first big eye pull in dynamis - xarcabard.

He wears a flame ring (INT+2) and a Bomb Queen Ring for "protection". Errant Body ftw too. He's still a decent player, but come on if you don't care that much about your job why are you lotting BLM Hat?

Short Conclusion:
BLM Hat drops, he wins the lot, everyone probably (I wasn't there) bitched at him in tell and he eventually passes to someone much more worthy.

On topic:
My dynamis LS does it like this. New members get 25% attendance automatically. If we've done 100 total dynamises, they get 25 points. Same thing with job-changers, you would get reset to 25 points. City AF lotting is done with some forumla that takes into account total AFs obtained and attendance so people with zero AF get a small bonus to their ability to lot. There is only one lotter when an AF is going to a main job.

Northlands AF is done on total points only. Points are never taken away either, so if you're ahead in points you get your beauc AND your Xarc AF first providing you don't miss a bunch and let someone pass you in points.

Secondary job lotting is not based on points, if the job is your secondary you get to lot it against the other secondarys. There is a 5 dynamis run grace period where you can't lot and any AFs that would be yours go to the secondary people, if there are no people with your job as secondary, congrats your AF is probably worthless and you get it anyway (Read: lolDRG).

But honestly, why would you not want full RDM Relic? RDM Relic is like the Native American set, we use every part of the buffalo. Hands for buffing and extra INT, Legs for nuking and solo play, Feet for MAB and extra MND, Body for OMGBBQKITTENS Fast Cast, and the Hat for the glorious crowning achievement of Pimpdom. (Oh yeah, auto refresh and enfeebling.)
