As for gilfinder, since when does it affect the amount of gil that a mob drops in a party? It's been awhile since I paid attention but I remember back in the day (and I' dont remember an update specifically to it) that gilfinder only worked for the solo thf and had no affect on the gil that was droped for members in a party.

We've had runs with 200 coins and 0 af2 and runs with 700 coins and 20+ af2 too, as has any dynamis ls, with no real variation in PT setups. As for Fafnir.. that's entirely too small of a sequence of events to get a large, conclusive pool. People try too hard to explain luck and randomness. There's no way to test without doubt.. I just stated how it would work, -assuming- there were no differences in triggers for job traits.

Fafnir isnt such a small sequence to get a large pool, you dont even really need a large pool of events to realize.

When we would have a non thf pt killshot faf, he would drop bare minimum items (i count crystals/scales etc, he wouldnt drop anything), only his 100% items and 1 abj, our thf pt getting killshot we'd get 5-11 items in the pool, double abjs, etc.

Now im not talking about the quality of items dropped, im just talking about items dropped period. Alot of the time when our thf pt got killshot, we'd get 2-4 slots that were nothing but crystals or scales.

Digging up killshots.. 3/3 on Ace's Helms (average of 4 items per, counting shells and crystals), no thf in killing pt, but th4 in ally... 0/2 (average of 2 items, counting claw/crystals) in pt of thf; Vivian ring (came with 4 crystals), thfless; 2 Ridills (one 7-item pool, one 8-item), thfless; and 5 Fafnir/Kings with single abjs from thf in pt.. but a double dalm aspi from 5blm/brd pt killshot.. luck is luck '-' Give me your thieves wafik

Killshots lol.. you are saying SE said the wrong thing based on party vs alliance as far as where it matters for the THF. Our LS puts the THF in the party that we think will get the killshot, everyone I know does that. Seems to work, but meh who is to say SE said something wrong. It'd be nice to reward our BLMs with more hats except we're forever cursed with saotome kabutos from Count Vine. We can't even get King Zagan to cough up his hat, and I know a few people want that for their mannequin

Funny how dynamis drops can be. We've had at least 7 hats drop and that seems to be our easiest to obtain drop from there. As for as paladin or ninja now where are those hiding...

I find it quite unfair the amount of, sorry, the lack of BLM drops in comparison to other jobs. I doubt im the only person who says it's only once in a blue moon you see BLM af2 hat drop, yet when it comes to PLD or SAM, it drops so much.

I've seen 6 blm hats on asura, never seen one in the treasure pool. That thing is so stupid hard to get , so annoying.

We had 2 blm hats drop in one run, 3 days later 2 more, i think the shell has/would have if people hadnt left about 10 blm hats in total

Yet, i think we had 1 SAM and 1 DRG in about 40 weeks, doing xarcabard almost every week

We have 3 TH4 3 TH3 and one or two TH2

4x TH3, 1x TH4. But we only have 4 thieves at any one time. TH4 better be there this Xarca, I have a good feeling that blm may drop. Recently other LS's on the server have gotten BLM and RDM hats, this week we got a BLM body, soooo hopefully our luck keeps going I know i'll lot a 7 on it too.

The puller/shell holder of my ls swears that the order of killing the nms
changes drops, i have no idea if this is true or not

Most groups kill SAM/DRG/RNG last, maybe try killing the nin/blm/drk nms last for a change? i dunno lol
