Money. They make more money keeping it airing then stopping it. The hardcore fans still watch it everyday.

They caught up to the manga. So to give the creator time to develop the story they are running unscripted filler material untill they further the manga.

If anyone remembers what happened to Rurouni Kenshin when the anime caught up to the Manga, they will probably figure that these fillers are a good thing. I know personally I'm glad they're letting the manga get ahead, I'm just not gonna watch it while that happens

Um... when Rurouni Kenshin caught up with the manga, they ended up producing so many fillers the show got cancelled before they could get to the final manga arc. (which is incredibly badass) So I don't see how more Naruto filler is even remotely a good thing.

That's true, but in the end they're just hurting themselves. New DBZ fad, no-one knew how bad it was till it was over.

Well, they have no choice but to make fillers so that they don't lose their prime-time slot on TV.

Apparantly there has been no official announcement (yet) about another 26 weeks of fillers for Naruto so I guess I've been tricked by DB... :s I hope its just their twisted sense of humour in play, I really want to see part 2 animated, its going to fucking own.

On a side note: Fate/Stay Night fucking owns and I can't stop listening to the OP song, I'm addicted.
