NO. If this was true then Breeze Gorget wouldn't work with Sidewinder.

Oh thank goodness. I was saving up organs for Breeze, Aqua, and Light, because there was so much debate on which on was the correct one for Sidewinder. I ended up getting Breeze organs first, and I do notice a difference in acc. No parser so I can't really give numbers, but the less misses feeling is there.

its a waste of time to farm this shit for mnk i wish i had not wasted my time on this
It seems (for war at least) to help multi-hit WSs the most. I totaly disagree with this.

I got Thunder instead of Breeze because Thunder also works with Vorpal Blade and Savage Blade, for whenever I have to end up xping my PLD.
Thunder Gorget will work with Savage Blade but not Vorpal Blade. Vorpal Blade only has a single element and that is Scission, earth. Soil Gorget is what you want for Vorpal and it'd also work with Savage.

    Just to gils here.

I have both soil and flame. Imo and paser info show that the soil, again IMO does nuthing for asuran fists.

    Brd/Brd/Mnk/Mnk/whm/rdm PT KRT

800-1000 with soil .. was very depressed over this

1000-1300 with flame / specs / pcharm .. very impressed but rather felt waste of time to farm a gorget that specs/peacock charm does the same.

Just to mention i understand alot could be factor on the total damage and blind/att+/zerk and other things do all factor but i did my best to keep unblind/both attacks zerk up during all ws that i was parsin so, like i said this just in KRT PT and i belive proved true enough that farming for a soil was a complete waste, and flame was nice to farm but i wouldnt do it again. If anyone interested in the parsed info hit me up with a PM.

Final note... I would have to lean even tho i see alot of people here dont like to hear that the Gorgets only affect the first hit in multi Hit ws but.. Im going to have to belive that. I currently only use specs or pcharm for asuran fists. For a steady 1200 avg.

Have fun play well ^^. love to hear more info on this.

Soil has been proven to work for Asuran Fists, and in all my trials I still feel that Soil Gorget >>>> Peacock Charm. Yes, I have both <_>

Do the gorgets provide a bonus to the damage multiplier with TP bonus weapons? I thought I read from some random person on Killing Ifrit that they possibly don't, because TP bonus changes the modifier. Of course, I don't have a link to the post, and no empirical evidence was cited within it...so...

It would be safe to assume that they do.

Maybe alot has to do with gear setup as well. imo atm i cannot break 1300 on a constant like i can reach 1200-1285 on a constant but, breaking 1300 i figure with the soil or flame i was going to be able to get that 15+ damage needed to break 1300 constant but niether does so and just stickin with a Pcharm i get 1200.. by no means this is avg ws lol, im just stating the max i get ^^. MNK4LIFE! Maybe need to tweak something.... goes back to the drawing board.

Btw. Any monks that hit 1300+ asuran on a constant with ofcourse zerk/att/and all other goodies? Love to hear about it.

I wish SE would just fucking explain what equipment does in this game. Regardless I think you guys have to realize that again, this is just one simple piece of gear. I can not macro in all of my WS gear for rampage (4/5 heca, warwolf, Triumph) and still bang out some pretty nice rampages, and then the next Rampage do one for half as much with full WS gear. It's really hard to determine when you're just changing one piece of gear, wether or not its superior. Really I think Gorgets were made for jobs where you're WSing against high lvl HNMs, and these help 1-2hit WSes hit while TAing, to help for MBing etc. I don't think they play as large of a role while fighting VT EXP mobs. Though once I've gotten Soil Gorget, my Vorpals and Rampages have been off the charts.

Ya i havent had the chance to pt much as warrior or nin to see the effect for the soil. I do have the jobs @75 but i love to pt the MNK with ls buds. And merit merit merit! got to love it.

    anyways.
I have only tested soil and flame on asuran and i feel no difference but like others have said they got to work somewhere / sometime.

I see almost no real max damage improvement with asuran with flame; it's WAY too variable to make a judgement like that.

However, I have seen the consistency of my asurans go up a whole bunch. Hardly ever miss more than one punch even in full evasion gear.

true this. but only with flame. Soil blows imo still. I will try it another day but.. atm no thanks. I really would say flame and pcharm is equal. And i understand the variable is huge but, still top out damage still comes more from a Pcharm. imo

i don't give 2 shits about top damage, average is the only statistic that counts.

thats fine and dandy but... on the gorget says.. Increase in ws acc and damage. But it does not do anything for damage if you equip a pcharm and it out damage the gorget 99% of the time.

But like most things in this game i rather stick to solid +stats then belive in some "hidden effect" like dune boots! /flame on! lol
