I get so fucking irritated at the people who don't understand how fights work, the first thing you do is debilitate your enemy, i.e make them as helpless and defenseless as possible or get yourself out of harms way as best as possible. You can call it an exploit, a cheat or whatever the hell you want, it's smart. AV has a weakness, it was found and exploited, anyone who doesn't understand that that is a good strategy is fucking retarded.

I won't ty to put down their accomplishment, they still killed it first no matter what people say but anyone who says they one by cheating isn't wrong either. Honestly I wouldn't want the glory from beating a mob that couldn't fight back, I certainly wouldn't call it a triumph... I would however do it anyways on the off chance it might drop something and I think the mob is broken. But I wouldn't be proud to use an exploit someone else found and a kill that was basically a given and that everyone will do until they fix the mob or the exploit. They'll certainly get their 15 minutes of fame but they won't get hero status in my eyes and I am entitled to think that way. I don't think the kill should be worth a ton on big kills, I mean everyone and their uncle will be using this strat now and because it's such a ridiculous exploit they will win too.

Congrats on your kill, you cheated but there's no other way. So enjoy your fame while it lasts.

Credit is due where credit is earned. Congrats to Apathy on the kill. The no drop is yet another reason why CoP end game "sea" is complete bullshit.

IMO yeah the tatic isn't exactly something to be 'ooooo ahhh' proud of but at the same time you guys STILL killed it after countless number of ppl have tried and failed. Regardless of how the kill was that deserves a grats. And finally something that NA's have done BEFORE JP's. I thought that was against the ToS.

Maybe when AV isn't completely gay and SE isn't completely fucking retarded in giving AV the ability to drop NOTHING I would frown a little more. I'm sorry but fuck SE. If anyone thinks that's an exploit too bad. Tell SE to FIX sea and not make it as useless as it is. There are like 3 good drops from sea and they come from JoL (-enmity earring and +MAB earring) and the sash that's still rumored to drop from AV without confirmation. And you have to do like a week's worth of work to get a chance at them with no 100% chance at either.

So use this expliot/tactic however way you want. When the expansion comes out it'll probably get fixed now since GM's have already threatened one LS about using it. And like it's been said in another post, no one will care about AV when that happens and if this exploit/tactic is fixed then without a better way of handling AV no one is going to kill it or will want to try.

Anyway, grats on the kill Apathy. However, the way Im reading this it really seems like you guys used an Exploit to kill a broken mob. I have a feeling AV was added now and meant to be killed at a later time, with gear from ToA. I dunno. The fact that you guys were driven to use an exploit is not the fault of Apathy or the Odin LS, thats the fault of SE for making a broken game. Well when people say the exploit they mean not letting it path to you and nuking it when it's helpless.

Anyway, I asked a couple members of Apathy and they said they will keep at it (though they're a bit exhausted right now, they went 1/7 on the virtue from Prudence + other shitty droprates). So here's to hoping it does actually drop something and we might find out in a couple weeks.

A win is a win, no matter what strategy was deployed. They killed AV with the only way they knew how. They realized that getting AV stuck was an efficient way to defeating it.

To those who claim this victory was not 'honorable', put yourself in their shoes. If you were able to slowly dwindle AV's hp, would you not continue using the exploit? Don't lie. You know you wouldn't suddenly tell your LS to stop nuking it; you wouldn't tell your LS to reform and try a different approach.

Take the American Revolution(or any war) for example. The colonists were suffering defeat after defeat and morality was low. If they were to wander into a British outpost with no guards present in the middle of the night, would they not take advantage? It may not be honorable, but as long as it gets the job done...

What bother me with that kill is that another LS was forced to stop the fight 2 days ago because it was "illegal". They had similar set up, and as far as I know were using the same strategy.

Ok.

They were fighting it against the wall, not really pushing nukes on it, not really doing much. Was using 2-hrs, aeroga 4, aero 5, etc. Eagle eye shotted elvaant for over 2000 iirc.

3 wynavs were up, one right next to it and two stuck in the wall by the looks of it; av as a whole was outside the wall.

Then they started nuking it, mainly ga spells, all wynavs died after a few of them, and it hit about 95%; at this point I saw a few manafonts go off, chain nuking, w/e, hit about 90%, became evident at this point it wasnt 2-hring or casting spells anymore, hit 60%, got rings around hands, hit 0%, died without ever doing anything since they started at 100%.

Was something else about the fight I noticed but it's kind of hard to explain, it was part of the way AV was going unclaimed so much.
