I see this as, "SE made an unkillable, broken monster, and you killed it. You beat SE, congrats!".

Agreed, I'd rather beat a crazyass mob that people thought was entirely unkillable and even used as justification for quitting a game than get the most unbelievable impossible overpowered item in the game, any day of the week.

theres a reason i said that in guild and not here on the forums, tired of seeing every other thread where people who play wow post in turn into wow vs ffxi threads

people who play ffxi are saying the same things about the bugged out kill not being something to be proud of, why dont you respond to them instead of wasting space with the "go back to wow" argument that everyone knows is coming.

to people using the argument about how "its not about drops its about killing the unkillable"; notice how more people are arguing about killing exploited AV more than av not dropping anything

You must have trouble reading if you think that nobody said anything when other LSes tried exploiting tthe glitch to kill AV.

Half of the 80 page thread about AV on Odin is an argument between whether or not the kill was "honorable".

The no drop thing is REALLY bad on SE's part, unless this mob was not yet meant to be beaten (why would they put it in the game yet then? idk..)

How long was the total fight? Did it attack back at ALL once you ran to the wall?

Is it possible that when LB held it for so long it went into "Rage mode" like Fafnir can, and when it went unclaimed during the massacre it shut off? Creating a string of rage modes over the course of their battle.
