Hate the prequels all you want, but the ending to Ep3 gave me goosebumps. Everything from the Anakin-Obiwan fight onwards to the credits. Just watching everything put in place for Ep4 was beautifully done, with the love theme from Ep2 playing in the background, as the dual suns set over tantooine.

    hmmmmmm, so many

The very last scene in 'requiem for a dream'

the big labowski: "Hey...there's a fucking beverage here man!"
"You are entering a world of pain....has the whole world gone fucking crazy!" I <3 that movie

Waiting: Where the server goes and tells off the red neck for being a cheap piece of shit (cause i'm a server in the south and get ppl like that)

the scene in swordfish where the woman is giving him a blow job while he's being tested on being able to crack the database....it's just funny as hell

Neo's fight scene with seraph was decent. It wasn't to over the top and had some good moves.

I know i havemore but my hung over brain isn't thinking atm

Edit: i'm never posting again...keeping this post count

For some reason When i read this topic "The Passion of the Christ" came to mind. It was the first movie that i actually expected to see blood and flesh fly off the screen. Being in a theatre where 95% of the people are sobbing (not crying SOBBING) while their messiah was being butchered on film was definitely a moving experience. I will never purchase the movie, nor do i have any desire to see that movie again, but that movie will be with me forever.

Dark City when John Murdoch is in jail and Emma comes to visit him. I loved when they reach out to each other as the glass window between them shatters.

Side note: That little kid, Mr. Sleep, was badass. He had like 2 mins of screen time but he still haunts me today. In fact, most kids in movies are creepy and scary.

Dark City reminded me of Jennifer Connelly which reminded me of a scene from one of her best movies:

Career Opportunities when Jennifer Connelly is riding the mechanical horse. Giggity. 8)

Speaking of Jennifer Connelly, House of Sand and Fog was a GREAT movie...and well there's one scene thats just amazing in it.

For anyone who plans on seeing this movie sometime I wouldnt read it...but this was the scene that stood out to me. Highlight below if you wanna see it.

The scene where the police boyfriend is taking the father in, and the boy draws the gun on him, and ends up getting shot by the other police officers. When I saw him get shot...it blew me away, and was completely unexpected. My jaw dropped, and the whole scene was apparently done on a whim, no script, he was just told how to act as if it had happened to him. Ben Kingsley owns. Also when he decided to commit suidice with his wife and Jennifer finds them...

Our definitions of "owning hardcore" must differ.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

Hot damn, another favorite scene came to mind from a B-movie about cyborgs.

    Nemesis (1993)

The hero was trapped in a hotel room. He goes in the bathroom as the bad guys are closing in. He manages to escape by shooting through the floor and continues to shoot through like two more floors as he is falling.

This movie was directed by the same guy who directed the very excellent Sword and the Sorcerer movie. Not only was the chick in it hawt but it had the greatest sword ever seen in a movie. I need me one of those three bladed swords for my warrior. 8)

It's a good thing they stopped making Highlander movies and/or TV shows after the first one. There's no reasonable way to make a sequel to movie without screwing up its legacy.

I also loved Dark City, although my favorite scene was the breaking down the wall to reveal what was behind it, followed by the true revelation behind the whole thing. I still wished they'd done the ending differently, though -- the first 90% of that movie is genius.

Marla & Tyler at the end of Fight Club, watching explosions. Good stuff.

The last 2 minutes of the Usual Suspects. "The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist."

(Minor V for Vendetta Spoilers ahead)

I know some people are knocking V for Vendetta, but I loved the parallel first scene and last scene in the movie with the orchestrated explosions. I remember after the first thing wishing I'd been able to hear the rest of the 1812 overture and, sure enough, there it was. Well done. Probably not my favorite scene, but it's fresh in my mind.

The scene in Hunt for Red October when the Americans first set foot on the sub, and everyone just kind of stares at each other for a minute.

Another sub movie -- Crimson Tide. Gene Hackman and Denzel wait for a minute before deciding whether to launch or not. All 30 people on the bridge are tense as fuck and sweating and the two leads are calmly having a conversation about Lippizaner Stallions.

The moment in "Election" with Reese Witherspoon where Matthew Broderick's character is describing Reese's character as a fairly normal kid (although an overachiever), and then concludes with "Oh, there's one other thing you should know about this high school student." Cue another teacher: "She has the TIGHTEST pussy!"

And, of course, "This one time at band camp...."

    Crimson Tide (very end):

Hackman: You were right, I was wrong.
    Washington: Sir?
Hackman: About the Lippizaners. They are from Portugal.

The Rock: The whole morgue scene. Especially when Connery asks "What do you want me to do? Kill him agian?" Cage sucked ass in that movie...but Connery rocked. So did Ed Harris.

The Wedding Crashers: The family dinner at the vacation home. When the Grandma calls her grandson a homo.

Dr. Strangelove: God....they whole movie was awesome. My 2 favorite scenes are when Slim Pickens is reading the contents of the survival kits to the B-52 crew, and the scene where Peter Sellers is talking to the drunk russian premier. A close 2nd would be George C. Scott explaining why a damaged B-52 has a chance to make it to target.

Saving Private Ryan: When Vin Diesel gets sniped. Any movie he dies in...is good. Movie would have sucked had they waited to kill him off until later.

Pulp Fiction: When Christopher Walken (greatest actor in the history of man) is giving the watch to a young Bruce Willis.

Another couple I was thinking of...

Old School - The whole concert and "We're going streaking" scene was great.

Evil Dead 2 - When Ash cuts off his hand and stuffs it under the trash can and puts the book "A Farewell to Arms" on it. The whole hand wrestling scene if funny as all hell.

Transformers: The Movie - When Optimus Prime lands on Earth and kicks the shit out of all the Decepticons. Awesome.

You forgot the part where Optimus Prime dies and is replaced by a lame copy of himself called Rodimus Prime later. The whole show died after that for the most part lol.
