Need to figure what was done differently this time >_> Is it only dia spam that stopped him from spamming his attack?

We used dia spam. We had to because since it can't path to us, it would constantly go unclaimed / hate reset or whatever.

Each summon wyvern kept pushing it back from the wall and he didn't seem to want to move forward anymore. When it was unclaimed, it regened around 10% before we were able to get it back. Then, the highlight of the night:

the blm alliance behind the wall went like this:

call wyvern > chainspell > manafont > meteor
about 15 members of the alliance died right there... a couple reraised, a couple survived.. started raising people
av invincible > benediction > mijin gakure
everyone goes boom, about 2 people have reraise up.. game over.

we intended to try again but pretty much everyone was either on this side of the wall or dead.

the best part of obtaining Al'Taieu access was zoning in for the first time having that exhilarating feeling that a whole new window of endgame opportunities awaited me.

Hmmm, does Aern have to engage like PC or fomor to attack? (I thought they do). Maybe dia spam for the other shell made AV unable to engage and do its thing.

Theirs happened at 52%, this one happened at 62%.

Granted, it hit 52%, went unclaimed, regen one tick to 62%, then did that after it got reclaimed.

Yes, that's when it began to 2hr again as it did with LB.

So many recent AV threads, and ours among the least exciting, I'm not sure where to post this but, it's probably worth mentioning about his 2Hs. Whatever you can do to trick or glitch or method to stop him from using them in his first form, happened very early on in our experience.

He stopped using them at some point midway through our first attempt, and he didn't get them back until we'd given up and taken him to the wall and got him into frenzy mode at 60%. Even being hate-free at the spawn point held with level 1 zombie tactics he didn't recover them.

No jailer weapons? No killing surrounding mobs?

No jailer weapons, killed wynavs and killed the 3 aerns (MNK, NIN, BLM) where he spawns b/c they link and needed to be dealt with.

Did they nerf last patch? Almost every AV seem to stop using skill, but no one is sure when exactly.
