Go see it.
Go see it.
on Imax
But that involves leaving the house!!
I really do want to, the whole premise for the story reminded me of Equilibrium's and the action looks good. I don't know why but the guy in the mask kinda reminds me of the the Burger King lol.
Hugo Weaving plays V, which really suprised me after the movie. From LoTR elf to crusader of justace.
Would it be a good movie to watch high?
No, its actually a quite intelligent movie, which suprised me. I thought it'd be a senseless dagger and gore movie. @Russta, the mask thing was werid, but you get used to it and actually take the character seriously eventually.
just watched the mtv special on it and i hafta agree. at first i thought it was just another british action movie with a shitty plot (like league of extraordinary gentlemen)
I haven't hear of or seen the movie. One of my friends told me that its based off a marvel comic but because marvel didn't like the direction the director was taking the movie they dropped their name from the production. They could still make the movie as the rights todo so were agreed, but marvel wouldn't have anything todo with it.
Again, this is all second hand, so as far as I know its bullshit.
Actually, it's Vertigo, which I believe is a branch of DC Comics... (Correct me if I'm wrong). I know that one of the creators of the comic did disown it...
I saw it cuz the screenplay is by the Wachowski bothers.
I liked it but it could have used more butt kicking. I think it's gonna be a love it or hate it movie.
V For Vendetta was created by Alan Moore, and yes, he did disown the movie. Then again, he's disowned just about every production of his work that's hit the big screen or otherwise... so yeah.Originally Posted by Gafgarionn
And I hear that the movie is like a total bastardization of the original material... but still quite enjoyable if you've never read the comic.
I heard this movie was bad ass. I wanna see if but sadly i don't have time to go to the movies.
Waiting for a good copy to get released.

Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-a-vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V."Originally Posted by vudoodoodoo

lol Vudoo, I'm curious about that too. I'll check the street vendor today to see if he's got printed copy of it.
Also check out this site for more info regarding V.
I didn't bother to read the tabloids about who was playing what part, so it was a little of surprise when I realized it was Weaving playing V. I personally enjoyed his dry sense of humor and monotonous speach which was essentially Agent Smith under mask. Ironic how one movie's villain can be another movie's hero. I always thought that Agent Smith, while being an opposite of Neo, was the real protagonist of the movie.
Good movie. I recommend it.
EDIT: Guess I'll skip the "getting script" part.![]()
Smith fucking owns even though he's a "bad guy".
V fucking owns.
Elrond fucking owns.
