Blame SE's random crafting generator. All the crafter did was press a button.

Seriously. It does not matter how much "skill" you have, even a level 100 +3 crafter making a level 1 item has a 5% chance of blowing up the synth and losing everything. Every subcraft involved adds an extra 5% chance of blowing it up. That is why I always tell non-crafters that this is always a risk when you get something synthed.

I don't pay attention to the math behind crafting so... for subcrafts does it add a base 5% chance to break (making something with one subcraft now a 10% break chance) or do you mean 5% in regards to it checking each craft skill involved?

It's an extra 5% per subcraft. Even at 100+3 with capped subs over their respected skillcaps, a synth with 2 subcrafts definately has around a 15% chance of breaking.

I am HQ3/HQ2 on Kaginawa, and it definately has a 10% break rate (i swear sometimes it's higher)

A lot of people do go to crafter's just for the chance of the HQ. When it happens the crafter is happy, but the synthee is even happier because he just made a lot of money.

"Hi, I wasn't concerned with levelling up my own craft skill to make money, cuz like it's a lot of effort and shit lol. So instead can you make money for me? You put a lot of hard work into it, so I'll just use your skill instead lol"

Coral Fragment kinda died on my server thanks to the bots who fish 24 hours a day 7 days a week (40k/stack), so I decided to take a stab at Merman's Earrings:
30 NQ, 1 HQ, 2 breaks


10% tier1 HQ rate my ass...1/33 looks more like 3% lawl.
