Coral Fragment kinda died on my server thanks to the bots who fish 24 hours a day 7 days a week (40k/stack), so I decided to take a stab at Merman's Earrings:
30 NQ, 1 HQ, 2 breaks


10% tier1 HQ rate my ass...1/33 looks more like 3% lawl.

Do another 100 and you might bump that up to 6%. If you're lucky. Like, really really fucking lucky. HQs are fucked.

for me, Tier-11 is 5%
Tier-31 is 20%
Tier-51 is 50%

I recorded every single Tier-11 synth I did, that includes threads, cloth, everything, after about 700 or so synths of Tier-11 with 4-5% HQ rate, I just gave up and no longer recorded anything. I don't really make any Tier-11s anymore except for Rainbow thread and Cloth. I wasn't too involved with Tier-31 though, I just made silk and velvet cloth, and the Tier-31 guild point items that weren't on AH. Really, I think people just say that Tier-31 is 30%, and Tier-11 is 10% because Tier-51 is 50%, so that the numbers match, if that makes sense.

I've recorded all my Tier2 SHs. Made 334 SHs and my HQ rate has been 26%.

I'm at 25%~ on t2 harness. I don't track most of my other t2s.

Someone once suggested to me that teir1 (which from my experience is about 5%) is actually 5% from 11-20 and 10% from 21-30. This is possible.

Not questioning your statement... rather making a random observation, but if it were true then wouldn't it blow the current "tier" concept out of the water?

What I mean is wouldn't it introduce new tiers at 21 & 41... basically making every tier a 10 level gap all the way up to 51?

Now when leathercrafters get to 95 they'll be like "I'm tier4 on Amemet Mantles, LOLZ"

The existence of a teir at 21 doesn't infer that there will be a teir at 41, just like how the existence of a 11, 31, 51 teir doesn't infer that there will be one at 71 or 91. It's just something random that someone suggested to me one day and I'm unsure whether it has truth or not.

It is, the only problem I'd see with it, is selling it for what it's worth. Right now on Ifrit, Mezraq NQ is floating around 7M, and I'd never pay that simply cause compared to Orich.Lance, the difference in stats isn't worth 6M.

Find a 75 DRG with the.. 45M it's worth (Ballpark-pullingitoutofmyasspriceforHQ) who's actually willing to spend 45M for the extra 1 DMG and I think 1 STR.

If it could be confirmed the HQ has a higher proc rate on the Additional Effect, that'd be pretty cool.

haha, being a 75 DRG I may be inclined to pay.. 5M for HQ if having it made. I dunno what a crafter would expect, or what another DRG would pay, but that'd be around the right price for me.

Never doubt the power of the almighty white box to make people throw huge sums of money out the window on items that are marginally better.
