Um.. that's a separate sentence. The point I'm making is the other crafts have synths that will naturally take place a lot more often as their options for amazing T0s. None of the listed Leather/Cloth synths require a king abjuration, further making what little options Smithing has unrealistic.

Theres a difference between a Tier 1 that costs 100k-2/3m to make and HQ and something that costs 10m+ to risk making and HQ.

Ppl dogging on the Tier Is need to stfu, sorry. You cant deny the excitment of synthing something that expensive. Hell even NQs can be a relif. (You didnt bomb someone's life savings, a LS's reward, etc) Someone added that us 100+6ers dont see these HQs as significant but this is coming from one. Congrats, I bet u wet urself when u saw that animation. Synthing something like that is a feat in itself, HQing it, even at a 10% HQ rate, is kick ass.

Shinning cloths are 4.8-5M on my server.
Reselling NQ's are about the same price, say take into account of AH fee, each per/synth loss is 200k ish.
In my eyes, that's crap shit to throw away 200k a synth for a tier1. I've busted so many millions, 200k is abosolutely peanuts.

Crafting and reselling them as turnover is not big deal. Click on above, I've had more than 10 Shining cloths over a span of a week (excluding ones I buy in Bazaars), however, Nobles sells 2-4 A DAY.
Quick turnover = more chances of HQ.
Compare that say to Cursed mitts-1, not only Mitts are tier0, they bear BIGGER LOSS per synth running at 500k each synth!
Yet you consider this to be amazing synth, is truly mindboggling to me. (given that you yourself are a fellow crafter).

As Raineer said, Aristocrat is not uncommon nowadays. People are shouting to sell them for 17M everyday on my server, yet no ones buy them.

Posting in this environment where people pay for Spharai with crafting profits, it's safe to assume a shining cloth isn't someone's life savings. A shining cloth costs you 5m on my server, an amount that D.ingots used to run. Posting Haubergeon+1s would probably get the same kinda reaction, albeit a pimp item, just like Aristocrat's Coat is, but it didn't require such dumb luck from the "random" number generator in FFXI we all love so much that some other synths would.

Your Blessed Trousers +1, that you seem to be so proud of, are much more of a 'worthy' accomplishment though.. Just because they're t0 and more rare? That synth is roughly a 10-15% NQ profit on my server with a decent turnover rate, not to mention a less risky combine than Noble's is.

Congratulations on your synth though, I'll also give you a big round for turning this nice happy brag/discussion thread into something far from what it originally was meant for.

your completely ignoring the risk wop with noble synths. Turnover rate might break even or yield a small profit but you still risk and probably WILL break a shining cloth in your lifetime of synthing. On my server these things always hover around break even or slight loss (mats to NQ turnover).

Either way one break, boom 5m down the drain.

As much as we are proud to show off our tier 0s you cant deny the relif and excitment of Hqing something that can potentially bust 5m. You also cant deny the fact that the profit margins on something like that (assuming you can get it sold, your server is a break even on nobles, and you dont bust any) are pretty significant. Its probably one of the largest margins for CCs.

The bottom line and im not going to argue this further, is for some tier1s, yes they are something to be proud of. Yes, I know 95% of them are not worth mentioning at all. But handful of them out there carry next to no profit when turned over, carry an extremely high risk but when HQd represent a large bank and a still quasi rare white box. Also not everyone is a card carrying 2 coma, 6 digit club member as you might assume around here.

any synth that has materials totaling about your entire bank account (I currently have about 7.5M gil) is an achievement, just as is getting clothcraft to 99 while hovering anywhere from 2-10M and never having over 11M while crafting. While some of you get to just buy stacks and stacks of rainbow cloth/thread (i'm talking at prices about 6 months ago), some of us had to go farm spiderwebs, synth those into thread, and then into cloths to just continue leveling.

My ls always makes fun of me because I synth every ingredient I can for my synths while leveling, but it is the only way I could afford to level the huge moneypit that is clothcraft. I guess its only impressive to Wo if I post my screenshot of Dance shoes +1 that I got while 2 levels under cap, OBVIOUSLY thats more impreessive than a Aristo synth. Go figure

Roranora, concerning my HQ rates, that was only the last weekend. The weekend before, I went 0/12 on celata -1, and 0/8 on mufflers -1 , though my totoal for solleretes is 2/5. I made the -1 feet because 1. They look cooler than amir, and I don't wanna do assault for em, and 2. HQ cursed gear is cooler, expecially when made by you.
Also, what did you do to get tier 1 on the cursed breeches? Send a PM if you don't wanna say it here

How the hell you can compare a SKILL UP item which is cheap as chips to synth, with other tier0 syths?
Most expensive mat in Dance Shoe is Rainbow cloth.
LOL Compare that with Cursed Mitts-1 for eg, TOTALLY NO COMPARISON.

You obviously missed the memo, and shows you truly do not understand the viewpoint of a crafter regarding "incredible synths".
As Roranora said, there are synths that are truly deserves to be here, but sadly in our books, Aristocrat fails to deliver as I repeat " not the most head-turning HQ."

Yeah good points on the sollerets; I use dusk anyway on WAR. As for the breeches, 92 cap on smithing, so 100+3 was fine; I got max aid on leather. While sites all say unknown, I "feel" the cap being 52 leather or less, so 60+3 covered that end as well. I think I went 2/18 on HQ during that session.

There is something about Haubergeon +1 . I when 0 for 37 then turn 3 back to back HQs. Then when 0 for 19 and HQ another. As for Hauberk +1 1 for 22 as of yet.
