So got E body off Nid 4 days ago so I decided to craft some cursed hauberks. Made 15 before and no HQ so I started spamming em out. Today, try number 35...

I lol when people go bonkers over HQ'ing an item after synthing it 50 times. Why the surprise?

Grats though, I heard of a -1 on Midgard a loooong time ago but never saw or heard of one since. (Nor heard/seen of the Armada from that one -1, possibly never existed.)

Possibly because it is probably the rarest item in the game?
Could HQ on #1, could on #200, why the fuck would you not go crazy?

Because you can try 50 times, but every new synth is quite literally that, a new synth; therefore you are back at the 2-3% tier 0 HQ rate. Congratulations on the hauberk, I think the one on midgard sold for 50m+.

Not sure what the hell you're trying to say, you make no sense at all. I could have blown 300mil but got "lucky" with 50m. Didn't make it to sell also.

I was trying to comment to the chap who was curious why people got excited about an HQ, even after chain synthing. For example, many people think that everyone who tries a tier 1 will go 1/12, and everyone who tries a tier 0 will for sure at least go 1/100, I was trying to point out this isn't the case. Congratulations on the hq.

I don't get his point too. Seriously, this is just an online game, why not try for a HQ if you got the money for it. Why not enjoy it while you can. Someday there won't be any ffxi anymore, but at least you had some fun and enjoyed it with the best possible gear.

For people like you nynja it might not be worth it, but considering Moochi seems to have other "standards" than y00- why not??? After all there isn't much to upgrade later on in the 75s... You try to aim for the max possible boost gear/merit wise. There might be some crazy white boarder ho's around but that's not everyone's goal in the first place.

congrats!! this is so hard to hq cuz you can only sell one every 1week and usually ppl ask their friends to craft for them... how many nqs you still need to sell? i freakin listed my cursed sub for 1gil after gettin it sent back like 5 times lol.. o well it was sold for 100gil to someone who used to be my friend and used to be in the same linkshell .. nope he didnt even offer it back .. he sold it for 300k ...i remember he said something like "were you drunk?.. what were you thinking LOL?" after selling it..... -__-

The first 15 I made was over a one year period. Just sold them slow at about 500-1mil loss. These other 20...sold 4-5 for 500-800k so far and gave a few to some friends. Rest I'll end up selling for like 500k each prob.

Nov. 21, 2006... 90% Full Moon and Lights Day ... its really just random.. i don't think i've hq'd one thing during full moon lights day except my very first scorion harness... i don't like full moon+lightsday... XP

I was just poking fun at the censoring and such is all, I know crafting is all random. Moon, Day, Weather, Direction, etc., I don't believe that any of it makes a difference, just your level.

Hell, for 40mil thats totally worth it.. Whats that buy you on your server? A speed belt? I assume you already have one, but even if you didnt, Armada Hauberk + Swift belt > Adaman Hauberk + Speed Belt. Grats.
