My point is, you cyber your NPC and really, thats no place for an MMO, nor a serious endgame board.
I'm sure the level 50 DRGs of Allah easily level their NPC to 65 solo.

Just because you don't like NPCs, doesn't mean it high levels can't do it.

Part of the problem with people who play endgame hardcore is that they seem to think that the whole game should revolve around it and anything that does not lead to acquiring the shiny bobble of +1 excellence is worthless. Sadly, people who cannot stop and smell the roses of other things a game offers will grow bored and move on to another game without truly appreciating every aspect of the former game, and will eventually do the same with the latter game.

The time people spend leveling with NPCs could be used sky or sea, instead many people find leveling with NPCs to be fun and enjoy a very rewarding storyline.

But some of us also recognize that NPCs could play a very important role in the next expansion as Aht Urhgan is mentioned extensively in the NPC quests. In fact, the Mirror of Blessed Radiance that Zoldof possesses is actually a Treasure from that land...

What spoiler warning? Your NPC talks about the origins of his/her mirror in one of the earliest quests.

on a serious end-game forum, every poster is expected to know everything. there's no such thing as a spoiler.

No, on a serious end-game forum everything should be a spoiler because you were too busy mashing the enter key to bother reading the story.

What does me migrating have anything to do with endgame? seriously shut the fuck up. Actually don't, keep posting because its only a matter of time before you're banned for the 16th time.

I <3 my NPC when leveling BST. In fact, last night in Quicksand Caves, an xp party raided my camp and I was taking on tougher mobs than I really should have. If not for my NPC, I would have died a bunch of times. She debuffs for me which saves me precious MP. She does tend to heal me to full as I'm casting Regen, but whaddya gonna do?

As for leveling your NPC in Kuftal tunnel, you really should check which zones are appropriate for your nation's control. I only level in Kuftal when Windurst is controlling it, but now I'm thinking I don't care where I level, because I'd rather have an attacker with a Demon Harness rather than a Noble's Tunic!

Though I think Great Axe is the overall best weapon, I quite like mine having a one-handed Axe which is what she has at the moment. The level 7 Axe graphic is Tomohawk/Retributer which is pretty cool and goes well with my Noble Robe, Boots and Zodiac Subligar! I don't know what the level 7 shield graphic is yet as I only managed to get a Heater Shield last night but I will know in about ten minutes.

I hope there are some nice changes for the fellowship in ToAU. If nothing else I would like a menu to choose which weapon skills I didn't want them to use so half the weapons wouldn't be shut off from me.

Being able to set up a constant SC to always use would be nice.

Personally, I'd like to see weapons give special effects. Like job traits for a whole bunch of them(jump, berserk, sneak attack, ect), healers with wands can MB or cast black magic status effects, and Katana can dual-wield if on Attack or cast ninjetsu on Shield. Also, letting them rest while you fight or vice versa would be cool.

If they give NPCs the ability to Dual Wield and set a constant weapon skill, Zoldof is going to get two axes so he can be my Rampage Monkey.

Giving your NPC a weapon supposedly increases your bond as well.

Supposedly the first weapon you give your NPC per upgrade list increases your bond by one. (It is hard to test these things out though.)

I gave my NPC a katana thinking SE would eventually figure out NPC's with Dual Weild would be fair, but nooooo. Maybe with the upcoming 2 hand weapon fix and such they will feel more comfortable with adding dual weilding to NPC's idk. But yeah, I gave my NPC a GK last night because I gave in thanks to this thread.

But yeah, SE should totally add Dual Weilding so that my NPC can dual weild Katana like I always dreamt she would

    Attacker: (always get Double Attack)
Katana - Duel Wield [With another Katana only]
    G. Katana - Meditate *
    1h Axe - Berserk
    G. Axe - Warcry
    h2h - Boost
    Sword - Aggressor
    Polearm - Jump
    Dagger - Sneak Attack
    Scythe - Soul Eater
    Great Sword - Last Resort
    Bow / Gun - Barrage

    Shield: (always get Provoke)
    Shield - Shield Bash
    Sword - Sentinal
    Katana(w/o Shield) - Ninjetsu
    G. Axe - Defender
    G. Katana - Third Eye
    h2h - Counterstance
Staff - Gains MP and cast Cure/na spells

    Healer: (always cast Cure/na spells)
    Staff - 1mp Refresh
Wand - Bio, Drain, Aspir, and nukes equal to RDM of that level
Instrument - Songs based on Fellow's owner's job.

I hope SE reads this or something.

    * - I've seen my G.Katana using Fellow do a WS twice in 15 seconds. He went, I didn't notice until it was too late, but I still WS'd anyway. He WSed again, and we chained. I lost the SS of this, and it pisses me off.
