Give it some time. Let other linkshells out there do the hard work of mapping out the zone. Didn't many of us only step into Dynamis in the last year or so? By then, there was enough information on how to win, where the traps are and how to pull. Probably before then, Dynamis (4 cities or northlands) was probably a pain because everyone was clueless. Hopefully there is more to this zone than what most people know about.

I think taking into consideration you have a chance to get Northlands AF2 with only 18 is pretty good. Less people to lot against and the mobs aren't too difficult for an alliance of 18. They should make drop rates and time extensions better though.

I've done northlands with 10 people, gotten 2 of the time extensions (that's 2h total, 1h at start), and 8 less people to lot against.

I know the Northlands are far easier and more rewarding right now. I'm just saying Tavnazia does offer the same drops and some new (Hydra) items, but still much is unknown other than a disappointment so far .

the time thing is the key reason people dont do these (aside from low drop rate).

Considering we can only enter once per 3 days, and the drops off monsters are completly random (except xarca NMs, you know what you're getting), we wanna make the most of it.

I agree I like how Xarcabard NMs have a good chance of drop rate. They should implement that somehow in other places.

we've gotten whm off whm and rdm off rdm NM in bubu so I'm pretty sure they act like the xarc NMs, i haven't heard anything to say that they don't at this point.

the only possible way that safehold could redeem itself is if the 2 ??? unaccounted for give time extensions or if they fill everyone's inventory with coins and af2. Next time we go we'll try and kill multiple diabolos's I guess. The drop rate isn't horrible in tavnazia, the problem is you only have 18 people so you can't kill shit all that quickly. This means that you get almost no coins (since the drop rate is same as a zone where you can clear 200 mobs as opposed to like 20 in safehold).

As stated before, by the time you get the +45m and subjobs back, you have time to kill a few groups of hydra or kindred. Even if the drop rate is like 10% on af2 your still not walking away with that much stuff if you only have time to kill 10 mobs. There's vague hope left with the 2 ??? and diabolo's but with the huge ass dissapointment everything else has been so far I'm not all that excited to go try it.

Um no. AF1 boots and hands, hospitaler earring, death (or attila's? lol) earring, warwolf belt, phantom tathlum (wtf), adaman cuisses, agi+4 ring, and espadon/company sword are not pimp gear. The only 'pimp' pieces are the peacock charm/amulet and the corse cape.

My LS has only done one clear of the new Dynamises. It was Buburimu, we won easily enough, then proceeded to farm for about 90 minutes.

Early on, we had more than one Dynamis-Xarcabard with zero af2. Did we say fuck it? no. That's a piss-poor attitude. Just cuz you got zero one time doesnt mean you wont get anything next time. In our last bubirimu run, we got at least one non-currency drop from every Nightmare Whatever cluster we faught. That's not too horrible. (we didnt' even have TH4 at the time). Then there's the (albeit miniscule) chance for the boss to drop -several- 100coins. Yes the drop rates arent as good as they should be. BUt then, when was SE ever generous about drop rates on anything that isnt a force pop NM? Some of you people have the shittiest attitudes.

AF2+1 people go "this all sucks" , even after they talk about how good some people's regular AF2 is. With a few exceptions, AF2+1 is the same but better than its predecessor. so how can it be worse? (There are a few exceptions, like SMN AF2+1 feet)

We've had a 0 AF Xarc run before as well, the difference was that even though we never got very far in (it was my LSs first time in Xarc), the fact remains that end at the end of Dyn-Xarc there is a very rewarding Mob (Dynamis Lord). In the CoP Dynamis you'll get a boss that is going to drop some 100 pieces if you're lucky, but nothing that can compare to Shadow Ring/Mantle.

The reason people say AF2+1 sucks is because while yes, the gear is (slightly) better than NQ AF2, you have to A) Have the original piece (in somes cases this can be rather annoying for rare northlands pieces), B) You have to dynamis currency. No one complains about the upgrade costs for for AF+1 from Limbus because it uses a seperate form of currency and more importantly is on it's own seperate timer.

I wouldn't have stated the line "Fuck the CoP Dynamises" if I had reports of other people getting decent drop rates off of them (could just be bad luck), but since the vast majority of people find themselves walking out of the zone with almost nothing to show for it other than a title and 1 million gil missing from someone's pocket, the opportunity cost of the new Dynamises just isn't worth it.
