I'm guessing it will be like casting a spell but then go with a skillchain. So say the BLU is second, say the Melee would do Steel Cyclone and at that time the BLU would start casting something like Body Slam and then have it make say Detonation (or something). And perhaps Flame Breath would Magic Burst on it if you had a 2nd BLU in the party.

Go ask any BST in boyahda to run out of attack range, and use mistral. It's not just an animation, it's a ranged attack. It's what alot of BST do solo, run out of range hwen the mob has 5-1% HP left, release pet, mob comes running, do a ranged mistral, mob dies and you're fine. Annoying thing with mistral is the accuracy , Has a good chance to completly miss, and the WS is not affected by the rng nerf.

You say WAR rarley miss a WS they rarely use, however you also claimed that it was just an animation being ranged, not the WS itself, and also it doesnt stack with SA.
