I'll wait till shit comes out before I judge more throughly, although Revolution having Genesis games is sweet I'm more into new games the companies can bring out.

I remember before PS2/Xbox/GC came out, everyone had expectations and everyone was (mostly) wrong. Save it for when they do come out.

I think a lot of people love buying old games for new systems. NES Classics on GBA are big hits. Those compilations games are big sellers. Easier to buy a port than find a system and the game to go with it. Nintendo has my <3.

Purchase what you like. Enjoy what you purchase. Stop trying to justify your choice to others and (subconsciously) yourselves. That is an exercise in futility. There is no correct answer.

Every system has its good points and bad points. If the system you like is selling more than the rival system, it doesn't make you morally superior to the group of people who bought or enjoy the other brand. You haven't made the "correct choice".

Conversely, if you are a fan of the less popular system, that doesn't make you special. Your tastes are not more refined, nor does your opinion carry more weight than the tastes and opinions of fans of the rival system. You are not a beautiful snowflake.

Stop pissing in the other guy's (or gal's) Cheerios.

Actually I do.

I dont care about the console the game is released on, nor it's age. If the game has good quality, I will buy it. Maybe that's why I got Super mario when it got re-released to GBC, and why i got LoZ:LttP when it got re-released for GBA. If I bought DS, i'd buy SuperMario 64 for it. All good quality games, no matter what Age, are still good quality.

First of all, my statements (both above and in this post), were not meant to be directed soley at you... except of course the "CockDumpling" line, which I thought was funny (If you did not find it funny, my apologies).


Discussing personal preference is all well and good. I am not arguing for the cessation of such discussions. The problem I have is when people make statements like "What?!? You don't like X? Are you fucking retarded?" or "Enjoy your piece of shit plastic box that tries to pass itself off as a video game system. The rest of us will continue to play the "better" system".

It’s like people need to justify to themselves that they made the right call.

I have no alligence to any one particular system. There are products and games from every company that I love, and some that I dislike.

I still use my NES, SNES, N64, GB SP, GB DS, and Gamecube (which I bought primarily for the "Special Edition" of Skies of Arcadia".

I also own a PS2 and PSP.

I am also one of the closet fans of (and still use) my DreamCast.

I've been playing SNES games on my laptop for years (much to the suffering of some of my schoolwork, Bomberman in math class cost me a few points over the semester I'm sure), and playing Street Fighter II on a keyboard is only so rewarding ._. Having all my favorite old games + new ones in one convenient location would be fucking awesome.

This is like when modded Xboxs came around, and people loaded them with emulators, only now it's legal.

I honestly believe that older 2D games are insanely harder than any of these newer 3D games. Whens the last mainstream game that had a good storyline? a good character devlopment?

Ok sure, maybe theres some good instant gradification shoot-um-up, beat-um-down games, but none are lasting or have a great reply value.

Why do you see so many people picking up old FF, Zelda, Mario, etc games? Theyre fun, and have an isane reply value. No matter how many times you beat it, youll come back to them.

That may just be me though, but I do know a lot of others who think the same way.

Id pick a redone version of an older game than some new GTA. Hell, Tecmo Bowl is the only sports game needed.

Give me a good redone version Excitebike or a new Lufia and id buy that sytem in a heartbeat.

Anyone remember the First PS1 where you had to twist, turn, flip, slice, bake, saute, and add lemon juice for it to work properly?

I really don't see how people keep fucking up their PS1 or PS2 XD my PS1 has been since it first came out and it still works fine same with the PS2 (other than when I dropped it one day but.. that was entirely my fault, not the system's :\)

It just depended on the amount of usage really. I used mine a good bit at their releases. I had a really POS computer during my PS1 days and it was *the* gen 1 console. I didn't have the tiny PSone remake. This was first release so of course it had its bugs. The same with the PS2. It's functional, but some times it has a tiny bit of trouble reading the CDs. As for the PS1, I would have to lean it on it's side, flip it upside down, down cartwheels, etc just to get it to work.

lol.. I use PS and PS2 a lot XD I've left both on for weeks on end (mine's on right now.. haha) and they both work fine. DVDs, Games, etc. All work. I try not to use DVDs too much though XD

[Correction]

1st-party software from Sega and Hudsonsoft's library are not enough to make me excited. Only one game I need to see on the 'download' list to make me cream.

Without that game the Genesis is just average.
