Man the guy asking about 1000 needles is thick. 1000 Neeldes does 1000 damage divided by the number of targets in range of the area of effect. now, if a BLUE MAGE, in YOUR PARTY, uses it, its not going to hit your party members or pets now, is it? [/sarcastic tone of voice]. if a player were to use 1000 needles, it would be divided amongst the MOBs and THEIR pets, not yours. (And BST can already do this with amigo sabotender)

The thing about spike flail is mobs dont just use it, they have to be triggered to use that by certain behavior on the player's part. And keep in mind, BLU cant learn every single mob ability.

How long does it usually take to pop Ix'DRG? My linkshell has roamed the 4 rooms on the top floor of Ruh'met, and in about 6 hours of total killing, we've never seen an Ix'DRG. It's the final deed we ned to have a full set of tier 2 pops, so we are starting to get frustrated. Is it just incredibly random?

Also, about the fight, what is the best place to pull him? Is it fine to just tank him in the room that the aerns are? His three wyverns also concern me. Do they link with the normal aerns, thus making them able to be kited in the large room, even if it still contains 1 or 2 aerns?

Sorry for the amount of questions, but this is one of the first good jailer threads I've seen here and a lot of you seem to have a large amount of experience.

It seems random, best way to pop it is have an xp party go around killing aerns up there until it pops. This is by far the easiest deed to get imo, it always seems to pop sooner or later and it's easily killable by a single blm party.

I'm curious about this. I take it the wynavs are easily sleepable? I popped it before in a manaburn and it killed most of us before we had time to think, but this was also a long time ago and we didn't even know what was attacking us.

So I'm going to go and guess the strategy was ES+Sleepga 2 wynavs, Gravity Ix'DRG, and then free nuke / kite him around ?

Ix'aern DRG has been popped back to back, so it's not a 3 day respawn.

The wyverns don't link with normal aerns. You can fight Ix'drg in one of the hallways where Ghrah spawn.
