if were counting it like that, Ive killed vrtra with 15!
What lok said. It's easy to kill something when ppl are actually good at their jobs. When you have a working strategy, ppl that follow the strategy, and know their jobs it's very easy to kill things with minimal amount of ppl. Ppl that go "how?" don't understand that yet.
For Tiamat, the hill is your friend, figure out how to use the hill, and the fight is cake. Jormungand, is a bit tougher, but i would recommend running away when u dont need to be in the fight
I dont know exactly what this means. I dualbox adds @ Tiamat, so what else is there to Tiamat beside people in the MA on him? Noone's saying "ZOMG we're 1337" people are just saying that others underestimate just how well a small group of people can do the same job just as well as a group twice as big. Sometimes people bring too many people to an event and can't comprehend that it can be done with much less.Originally Posted by thestalkmore
There is one good reason however, for keeping everyone at its feet:
People lose hate from the AoE damage.
Believe it or not, first time I killed Ouryu we had the entire alliance except for the two people sleeping ele/worms at its feet.
Unless the tank party can independantly cure the rest of the alliance thoroughly enough, I'd think people would gain more hate curing themselves, then they'd lose taking damage. (which shouldnt be much if you have a good stoneskin build. WHMs can reach cap (450DMG) with the correct gear.) All in all, both can be done, but I really do think unless you're experienced, having multiple people get hit by AOEs that otherwise could not be, can easily be the cause of a wipe due to MP or hate issues.Originally Posted by Genosync

Normal Cap for Stoneskin is 350 damage, the ONLY way you can get more is if you have the "Stone Gorget" which is a quested/Dropped item from the NMs in the 3 main Promys (Like the skill Earrings, you get a drop that you turn in for an item). This item will add 30 damage to the cap of your stoneskin for an absolute maximum of 380 damage, but this item is very rare. I get what you're saying though, max stoneskin is usually enough. (Oh yeah, RDMs can SEEM to get more from stoneskin due to Phalanx blocking up to 29 addition damage from every source, which adds up pretty quick as long as something isn't oneshotting you...)Unless the tank party can independantly cure the rest of the alliance thoroughly enough, I'd think people would gain more hate curing themselves, then they'd lose taking damage. Sorry, meant 350, was a mistype, but the point still stands.![]()
