As far as I know, the sauce can't spoil, but if you left it unopened, either something that CAN spoil fell in there and stank up the works, or the oils in the sauce just soaked up the ambient stench of the random filth in your kitchen.

In either case, just buy a new fucking bottle.
This seems like the right decision, but it was 2 in the AM so was kind of shit outta luck. I sucked it up and ate it though. I seem find so far today. Wish I could say the same for my friend...

Also how could you guys eat that nasty "fast food" pizza. (dominoes, papa johns, pizza hut) Tastes the same as if I buy a regular pizza, wait 3 days, then microwave it.

Quite easily. Not everyone has a proper pizza place right around the corner, so certain "fast food" pizza is better then others. Given the choice I'm sure many people would rather go to a good restaurant

That would be because meat there is insanely expensive, not to mention pretty poor quality. Seems to be a bit culture based, too. (Japan isn't the best cattle herding ground, either.)

It's not so much that meat is insanely expensive (pork and chicken are reasonably priced), it's that the Japanese just don't know any better. They can make a good pizza but they overdo it and add shit that does not taste good on pizza. Lemme pull a few examples from a delivery flyer shoved through my mail slot the other day:

    http://img45.imageshack.us/img45/9136/seafoodmix2ur.jpg

    SEAFOOD MIX PIZZA

    Onions
"Tuna Mayonnaise" (A common condiment, it's just tuna mixed up with mayonnaise)
    Mushrooms
    Jumbo Shrimp
    Squid Rings
    Mayonnaise (yes, more mayonnaise)
    Cheese

All for the low low price of 2000 yen for a 10 inch pizza pie, delivered to your door.

If you removed the "tuna mayonnaise" and the additional Mayonnaise dressing you'd have an okay pizza, but that's not an option!

    Want more?

    CRAB AND POTATO PIZZA

    Potato Salad
    Squid Rings
    Jumbo Shrimp
    Corn
    Crab bits
    Mayonnaise
    Cheese
    Parsley

    Wow!

If you're from anywhere that has decent pizza for cheap paying 12-20 american dollars for mediocre-to-poor pizza will send you to the chinese/vietnamese/thai/indian restaurants really quick. There's something about Japanese pizza that says 'sabotage.' Ya think it's gonna be good but then you get that first bite in and....christ.

All of the small pizza shops in my area are very bad. All of the places in my neighborhood have bland sauce, crummy crust, and fake cheese. Papa Johns or Vochelli (regional chain) are far superior. Even DiGorno (or however it is spelled) is better.

the last time i ate pizza in the UK, the service at the Pizza Hut was terrible, and eating the Pizza was like biting in to a rubber tire topped with some cardboard. My cousins and I left without paying.

Now since I have read this thread, I'm going to eat some nice Chicago style deep-dish pizza.

Those Japanese pizzas you posted don't look SO bad. At least not compared to the one I saw once that had squid ink for sauce, and clams and veggie tempura on it, and no cheese. That's not pizza, that's fking seafood-on-bread.

Then again I'm sure we totally bastardize their cuisine over here, too. I've even seen examples of this domestically... I won't eat at a non-chain Tex-Mex or BBQ place north of Oklahoma for instance. It just doesn't work out. One of my uncles moved to Alaska for a while and he would come back to visit Texas more for the food than the family here I think.

Oh yeah on the original topic... tabasco sauce doesn't go bad. Unopened there is no chance in the world. If you left it open, well it's all vinegar and spice anyway, which would kill most bacteria (spicy herbs were originally a way to make rotten meat safer to eat, and mask the flavor). The main concern would be it drying out. It probably just didn't mesh well with the pizza sauce is all.

I remember seeing Pizzas like that in Japan and all I thought was "Holy Shit". Looks very nasty.

Everytime I eat Dominoes the crusty pepperoni cuts my mouth. It tastes good though.

I saw one of those educational shows that said that restaurant condiments can go bad. If ketchup packets can go bad, anything can, imo.

I love living close to Chicago. Even the local joints have excellent pizza. We talked in LS about deep dish, and I ordered one, it was fabulous. If we decide we want junk pizza for a change, then we order Domino's.
