The world look so fucking nice, but it feel so empty. You can walk 20 minutes without killing anything, and at the speed thing level, it's annoying at time. I hated Morrowin, and this one is an improvement, but I don't think the genre is for me.

I got the pc version, I agree with xavier the world is very beautiful and big. characters could use a little more polish when zoomed in (a tiny part of the time).

but take it from someone who has played the Morrowind game, and couldn't get in to it at all : You need to be the type of person who really, really enjoys ALOT of deep involvement in a game to enjoy any Elder Scrolls title.

Thats kinda like buying Madden and then saying, "the games pretty good but I hate football."

As soon as I got into the overworld, I was like, 'holy shit, this game is deeper than 75% of the mmos I've played, why isn't this online." I don't like the social aspect of mmos much anyway, sorry, but 95% of people online are fucking idiots.

Playing this game has consistently brought the temp of my processor (or w/e computery thing) to 200 degrees!

lol its a RPG people... a real RPG whereas it isn't so damn linear. You can actually choose your actions and be good or evil. ROLE PLAYING LOL. RPG is more than just leveling up and gaining new skills... alot more.

Games that are so absurd in gameplay (I think Matrix Revolutions fell under this category)
Games that are PS2/Xbox/GC ports that are clearly not optimized for PC (nothing like a PC game saying "press start")
Games that dont even fucking black screen upon initialization (NHL 2006)


99% of the games that get released is shit that falls in the above three categories. Why am I going to spend 40-70$ per game just for the 1% chance that it will actually be a good game ??

I have two binders FULL of pirated games, and most have never even been played for more than 10 minutes, just because of how pathetically bad they are.

When I got suspended 2 weeks ago, I looked into those binders to find something to play; flipped through all those pages, and decided to install Half Life 2 instead (too bad the fucking installation process took like 40 min, then had to update via steam).

If I had walked into Square's office while they were making FFVIII and gotten to play the game for 10 minutes, I would've bitch slapped the producer and been like, "draw system? nigga plz, no no no"

Apply that to most of the games released in the past 5 years instead FFVIII.


How many games have been released ?? Real games, not "Pokemon Drawing Factory". A lot, now how many of them were actually worth money ?? A handful...tops.
I bought MGS2 Substance when it came out just because I did not have a DVD burner: Installed it, played it for 15 minutes, then deleted it because it was a shitty portover. Waste of 60$, or whatever it costed.

Love this game, I loved Morrowin as well but stopped playing it after I leveled up so high and started to do mission but found out i killed some of the NPCs that I needed to talk to, to complete the missions lol. For those that played Morrowin before and actually played it to almost beat it did you find any hidden goodies like some extra gil, or some weapons just laying on top of a rock or in side a tree trunk on top of a mountain or something? Anyone find some little goodies in oblivion?

God, I sure wish there were journalist in the world who worked at some sort of publication that reviewed games when they came out to give the consumer a ballpark of how good/bad a game was. Golly gee, what a great world that would be.

I didn't said the opposite, nor was I expecting to love it. However, I still can't see how people can enjoy it as much they are saying.

Maybe I didn't play enough, but I always have the feeling the world is empty. First thing I've done when I got outside was to climb the big hill in front of me. 30min later, I passed the montain, reached the top of the map and fought maybe... 3-4 wolves and 1 thief? As pretty as it was, I would have liked to have my ass handed by a Yeti in the mountain, or maybe a huge dragon. Or simple thing like a big rock turning into a stone golem, or a tree into a treant. Something more...memorable.

Before you find out the hard way -- don't get caught with stolen loot on you, the guards take it from you. Also, don't try to sell back an item you stole to the store you stole it from. You lose, and no money.

It works pretty well.

Think of it like an RPG Metroid Prime if you want. Theres a button to toggle first/third person view too, but the third person view kinda sucks (I can't handle the camera at all in third person, bad aim).

To the people who are playing, what class/race are you guys doing? I was looking around for a guide but couldn't find any up yet, so I just guessed what to make.
