I started playing it again last night, broke into the armor shop at the Imperial City to get some good stuff near the beginning, I got caught.

So naturally I killed the 3 guards and the guard captain, took their armor and weapons, and skipped town. On my way somewhere I ran into a fort, killed a few and slept to gain my level and got visited by a guy from the Dark Brotherhood cause I am a murderer. So that was cooler than when I played before so I am actually really enjoying it now. Almost level 5 because I get my Alteration up fast by spamming protect anytime I walk anywhere. Bount is at 12,000 now ; ;

For a build, just do whatever you think will be the most fun for you. I made a custom one with sneak and security since I love breaking into things and sneaking around, but I didn't want to be restricted to just a thief, so I also specialize in heavy armor and blade so I can deal with close combat too, and I am enjoying it so far.

I tend to get caught alot with hot merchandise but found that if you sell the hot items to the Thief Guild buyer, you can turn around and buy it back without the hot label. Sure you pay a little more but if you steal something cool you won't risk it being stolen again.

I just got Master sneak, and you can do just about anything... Get your illusion up if you wana be sneaky... I use Gather Shadows or something like that, and become invisible for like 30s, as long as you dont do any actions (anything but running), no one can see you.

In crazy fights I'll make a really strong poison, shoot about 2 times with sneak attack then go invis and with in like 5-6 secs the poison will run it's course and kill someone. The hardest thing to do as a thief or assassian is handle large groups of mobs. todo that I recommend alchemy skill for paralyze that you can start to make at skill lvl 50+ and illusion.

Some people even do conjur. for making skeletons or some kind of mob to act as a meat shield for them.

Another really important thing is get all 7 recommendations to get into the mages guild so you can enter the arcane university. There you can enchant shit which makes the game easier.

is there recipe charts or some good advice to getting alchemy skill up?

How do you get Sneak up that easy? I don't seem to get skill unless sneaking around someone of course, but is it restricted to quests only, or can I just sneak around someone's house for an hour to get skillups.

I'm wondering that too, I got two skill ups when I was doing the Dark Brotherhood mission where you have to break back into the prison to kill that annoying guy that was in the cell across from yours.
I tend to find myself walking around town sneaking because I forgot to change it off but never get on there.
