i called a GM on makochild tonight after getting two /tells from him with similar content as to what other ppl have received so far. i got pissed when i tried to tell him to fuck off but his status was /away. i got an automated message from GM Luminous about 30min later. they're aware of makochild sending tells to links that contain keyloggers, as well as other accts sending similar info. the message admitted they're (the GMs) are pretty much useless in this situation, and that any acct info that's stolen has to be handled by the technical team. anyway... just a heads up. expect makochild and jerle's accts to be banned very soon.

You do realize that this is all a game. However, the installation of a key logger without the consent of the individual being logged can count as criminal trespass, fraud and wiretap. All of these charges can get you time in prison or JV depending on your age.

Theft of online property through the use of 'hacking' into someone elses account is also trespass, and in some countries can allow for prosecution and civil suits. In addition, if you sell the stolen item for real money (usually in excess of a thousand or so dollars) you can bring forth a civil suit and probably win against that person in the United States.

It's great being a 16 year old online e-thug in MMO's until you get sued or have a nice stain on your perm. record.
