i've killed rose garden 3 times myself (0/3) so it's by no means "rare". on average seemed to pop 10-14 hours after last death if placeholder is alive the entire time and never attacked.

I will wait for my room mate, Weltall, to get back from eating at the Cheesecake Factory. Some one his server killed Vilma and got the drop. Some famous japanese dude on their server. I think his name was Kimi or something on the Alexander server. He has some japanese live journal and my room mate showed me a picture of him killing it and getting the drop though if I remember correctly.
saw this on a jp website

Rose Gardenを倒さずに放置するとRose Gardenが変化
Translation: Without pushing down Rose Garden, it leaves, when Rose Garden changes
no idea what that's supposed to mean, and the drops aren't listed on the website either
Rose Garden pops if you dont touch the PH for 12 hours, and Vilma will pop if you dont touch Rose Garden for 12 hours.
i see
I persume it drop Vilma's ring yea? I saw someone in Tavhazian Safehold(Bahamut) with it
Rose Garden and Vilma drop the same ring. The drop rate is really uber shitty on RG and supposedly 100% on Vilma. The thing is.. everyone is going to kill Rose Garden when it pops anyways. Good luck trying to get Vilma.
You probably have a better chance at popping Vivian in the boyahda tree and getting a Vivian ring before you could ever get Vilma to spawn.
can you confirm this or is that just a rumor?Originally Posted by Setsuko
Considering people got Vilma's Ring from Rose Garden, the fact it's named Vilma's Ring and NM's name is Voluptious Vilma, I'd say no more confirmation needed.
And Vilmas drop rate is not 100%, Id say more along 75-80% ish and RG drop rate is around 30%ish.Originally Posted by Hirronimus
How would you know? You actually killed the mob? 75% means you are 3/4 and 80% means you are 4/5 lol.Originally Posted by zhan
Thats what the suspected drop rate is, my RL friend saw RG up one day and waited 2 hours and Vilma spawned ( I was at his house) and killed it, no drop, so its obviously not 100%..
Go die now please.Originally Posted by zhan
Lock on Alexander also got it, off of Rose Garden. He went 1/13 with TH4... He's been camping Taisaijin ever since...Originally Posted by Serif
Are many Harvest Earrings (Colorful Leshy) or Purgatory Collars (Snow Maiden/Father Frost) in circulation?
I'd recommend keeping an eye out for the rare NMs that haven't been sighted yet. Photographing (screenshooting) them would be like photographing some rare animal. I liked that Father Frost pic a page or 2 ago, it reminds me of those cryptozoology photos, where the creature in question is grainy and far away.
And on a side note, what do many of you think SE is going to do about the items (weapons, armor pieces, crafting items for aforementioned categories) BLU, COR, and PUP will use? I mean do you think the majority of that (well, desirable items) will come off of NMs in Ahdjiah (or whatever the continent's name is) or do you think SE will add another wave of NMs to Western Vana'diel, similar to, but of lesser magnitude, than the July 2005 update? I think they'll add an assortment of NMs all over the zones in both hemispheres to prevent the 3 jobs from having all their resources loaded in the Near East. They're going to need weapons and armor pieces all across the level range. They'll be assigned some pre-existing items, but there's a lot of NMs that drop rare/ex items limited to 1-2 jobs. Integrating them is going to be a pretty big task: AF quests, RA, AF+1, RA+1 additions, Relic Weapons (if they're not assigned to a pre-existing one), what to do about Genkais (esp. Maat). How will they add these 3 jobs to pre-existing monster bases? I know Orcs and Western Beastmen may not use those 3 jobs in regular zones, but what of zones where every job is represented (i.e. Dynamis)? Will AV and Apocalyptic Beast get these 3 additional 2-Hours? (Of course, has anyone seen if AV uses Spirit Surge or if any DRG NM uses Spirit Surge?). Will BLU, PUP, COR Aerns be added?
Maybe some of you can answer this question too. It seems like COR may have already been in the game. I read that the Goblin NMs in Dynamis use Goblin Dice with 11 results (rolls 2 thru 12), each with a different buff or attack. Would you say they were already COR? And are there any other mobs that would appear to be COR? (since none appear to be BLU or PUP at the moment).
Another side note, they should have a Fly or Beetle enemy called Litterbug which literally drops Garbage when defeated. Just as Taisaijin drops the anti-Optical Hat, maybe Litterbug could be the opposite of Valkurm Emperor, or maybe its drop could be Clothespin.
