I think his name was Kimi or something on the Alexander server. He has some japanese live journal and my room mate showed me a picture of him killing it and getting the drop though if I remember correctly.

Lock on Alexander also got it, off of Rose Garden. He went 1/13 with TH4... He's been camping Taisaijin ever since...

I'm surpised people even camp Taisai, the hats not really great for anything other than skilling parrying (which doesnt help all to much). 1/1 on Taisai, wasnt even camping it lol; didnt have the OP warp a low time ago when i had it, Taisai aggroed me as a lvl 75 when i was running to Bcd through sandy.

"Bye Bye, Taisai" is probably one of the coolest titles in the entire game, which I think for most people camping it is the primary motivation for wanting to kill it.

I mean taking pride in your Abjuration/Nashira/Homam/Relic Epeen is one thing, since the gear actually does something for you, but really wanting that bad to show off a title? Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Heliodromos is a 21-24h, standard stuff. He just pops 3 at once.

Heliodromos is 12-15 hour pop dependent on the three Hippogryphs on the island - if one is killed the timer resets. I killed these every single day for a few weeks with a total of 3-4 people and made a fortune.

mind if i ask what setup you used. We went to kill these yesterday with NIN NIN NIN BRD RDM WHM and knew shit about them. most of us were naked/minimal equip. At first we tried to 3 nin tank 1, but it wasnt working so we had brd horde and we killed em off 1 by 1. Ended up winning, but no gaiters and some deaths. Tried again today with different ppl NIN THF RDM RDM BRD and won after having a RDM grav kite one, and brd sleep while myself and NIN killed one by one. Still a fairly difficult fight. Is it possible to sac pull these and then RR?

NIN, NIN, BLM, BLM. We've even killed them as NIN, BLM, BLM a few times and it's very hard. If you aren't with well equipped people with great job skill and try it with a minimal set up you are going to get raped. And even then, if you have bad luck on sleep resists, it only takes one bad triple attack for them to put a mage down and have you start over.

I've camped it for multiple hours on multiple occasions and have never seen it. I got really pissed off eventually and did an NPC search in the area and Ixtab didn't even show up, meaning it hand't popped since last maintenence...

Anyone have any info on this shit?
