CoP 8-3 Proposed Strategy

Use everything you have at the start. If you can kill both of the BLM pots right away you've pretty much won the BC. Sounds like a decent strategy, I hope your WHM has some good ACC gear lol, props for creativity on that part.

I did this with my static as

MNK/NIN
DRK/THF(wasn't sure his of his sub)
RDM/BLM
BLM/WHMx2
WHM/SMN

What we did was go in and i targeted the blm in the back left corner. For this BC i used my usual eva gear, Faith Bagnahks and dorado sushi. I run into the middle and chiblasted the Zdei in the corner. Our first BLM then ES-sleepga'd the zdeis and we bagan fighting. For the first Zdei, we did Asuran Fist >> SATA 300TP Spiral Hell. With Blizzard IV's on that, the Zdei pretty much died on the spot. Next was the 2nd BLM Zdei. For this I simply did Hundred Fist and it went down pretty easily. The rest of the fight was against the 2 rdm zdei. On these we did solo WS and nuking and cleared the BC with 0 deaths. Many people say the Zdei will try to run off when they are low on HP, but I never witnessed any of the 4 attempting it. Also, the blms are known to do high tier magic spells, but in our fight, the worst magic spell I remember being casted on my was fireIII..

Your party set-up looks fine, just keep up stoneskin and kill the pots fast and you'll have an easy win.

My group tried a few setups involving 2 BLM and a RDM, PLD, a couple of DD. None of them worked. On our fourth try we just sent in the PLD with a greatsword and full DD gear, four other decked out DDs, and a RDM to heal and sleepga. We almost took out all four pots without wiping. The key is to kill them before they kill you basically, just have each DD use Maat strategy and wreck the BLM pots before they have a chance to wake up.

This bc is pretty easy with dedicated sleepers, but my static pretty much raped cop bcs (pld or nin @75 mnk 2 blms rdm and whm or another blm ;x)

This battle is win or lose based upon ability to keep the pots asleep, the pots themself are very easy, but managing 4 mobs that cast ga- magic at once, is not.

Do whatever you can to keep them asleep I guess, and maybe do two runs, one for your pld and one for your nin and get a rdm spacer 0_o..

Hope you are joking, because this is probably the easier mission in CoP. People saying you need alot of Meds, or need to manaburn it need to quit the game -_-;

Like Demitrius said, you just full attack the BCNM like Maat.
- Have people with Opo-opo and sleep TP (my PT didn't do it, but it will make it alot easier).
- Get Icarius wing ready (my PT didn't have them either, but this too will make the BC easier).
- Have someone aggro the Pots, BLM ES Sleepga 2.
- Full attack the 2 little Pots (BLMs) one by one, WS, 2h, etc. till they are both dead.

Once the 2 BLMs are dead, you can wipe safely at one door if you are low MP etc. My PT did a dry run to see how the BCNM was like. We took 2 BLMs and half life of a RDM, we wiped, RR, and kill the RDMs in 30sec.

Well, I guess my group is all noobs then because we wiped twice more without even killing one due to our static BLM having continual massive lag that made it impossible to stun or time anything. He then pussed the fuck out on us and logged, which when I think about it, was probably for the best due to his being useless due to his constant latency.
(Apparently we've become too hardcore for him in wanting to get a series of missions that have given us stress for a fucking YEAR *done* and soon. My real life obligations are horrendous at the moment and he's a college student and has an enormous sense of entitlement. We've been scheduling around his crap for how long and last night was the last straw. "Sure I can make it at that time! Oh but I only have TWO HOURS and I'll neglect to tell you this until we start the mission! Oh, I no you've changed the date and time of static meetings five times to accomodate me, but I can't possibly get my fucking homework done BEFOREHAND when I know I have an obligation!" FUCK YOU. Yes I'm bitter. It might be a video game, but you're dealing with REAL PEOPLE behind the screen and you can't just shut the fucking thing off when you make an obligation.)

We managed to hijack two BLM friends and did one dry run and one successful run with this setup.

We're doing one more run tonight to get the PLD (or BRD) through, then taking the hijacked BLM that needs the mission on to Promathia while worshipping the ground the other BLM walks on. He had just completed both of the missions about 2 hours before he agreed to help us. The man is a saint.

We actually had the THF kite the RDM mobs around the arena while MNK, NIN, BLMx2 concentrated on one BLM pot and slept the other one. Worked pretty well with one wipe. Chi Blast did a horrendous amount of damage with full gear, once hitting 700+ with 11 boosts. Spirits Within from the NIN (and PLD on our failed runs) did 500+, so it was definitely worth it to get 300% TP for sword users first.

THF kite worked suprisingly well. I gave the THF my Earth Staff and he just circled the arena, using flee and perfect dodge when necessary. I cured him as he went past me. Only problems were when he got bound and gravity on the opposite side of the arena, and when a -aga III spell went off when Stun recast wasn't up and he was running past. ; ;

The BLM pots do seem to melee, despite my reading multiple places that they just cast. as WHM I also ended up having hate for a good amount of the fight, especially when the NIN couldn't Spirits Within for hate at the beginning of the fight. The good thing about the BLM pots is they won't walk up to you and smack you, they'll just cast. I must have ate at least three or four IV levels spells and a couple -aga III's that I'm suprised I lived through.

I also lost 4k exp through wipe and reraise, stupid mistakes from getting tired and going to get TP on a thunder based mob (OMG STUN RESIST), and gave out more raises than I EVER want to give out again. I honestly must have cast Raise III 20-25 times last night. ><

If the next expansion is like this I'm seriously going to scream. I am absolutely sick of CoP. LOL

I did this with PLD/NIN WAR/NIN SAM/THF BRD/WHM SMN/WHM BLM/WHM.

We won with like 10 minutes to spare, on our first try. Here's what we did: PLD, WAR (me) and SAM got 300TP before entering. All melee had wings. The SMN mostly healed and did BPs when she could. PLD aggroed pots and BLM es+slept. We all ran to the far side and engaged a BLM pot (since it can get a bit confusing sometimes as to which mob they're engaging we used an /assist macro to him which was helpful). Just before we engaged the BRD used Soul Voice and did 2x minuet (godly attack bonus). All melees ate sushi.

The PLD didn't hold hate much but it was useful to have /NIN to absorb aoe attacks + initial aggro. I used my SP on the first mob and the PLD did 300TP spirits and the SAM did her SA+WS and it died. We engaged the next BLM mob and the SAM did her 2hr and the PLD and I used wings. It too went down fast.

About this time the RDM pots woke up and it got crazy. We managed to take one RDM pot down to about 10% though, before wiping.

Here's something I didn't know: RDM POTS DON'T REGEN. If someone had told me that I wouldn't have been half as nervous.

So we re-raised and healed up and knocked off the RDM pots with ease.

Oddly enough we kicked this BC's butt, but we had a full wipe to 8-4 (BLM re-raised and did Thunder4 to finish it). 8)

If everyone is prepared with RR items, and you die at the "safe spot", you can afford up to 2 wipes and still have time leftover. If your BLM drops, unleash everything you got on your current target (short of 2-hours) and then wipe quickly. Don't waste time running around or healing yourself up. Just die, so everyone can raise up, buff, and get unweakened and try once more.

I believe you only need to kill one pot (we did the BLM pot first) to stop the regen thing. You can win with that setup if you keep trying.

We had our Thf run in 1st & nab the rdm pots while the tank ran in & voked 1 blm pot & flashed the other. Tank took the blm pots to where you would wipe on far side of BC entrance. The Thf brought the rdm pots back to where we entered, tanked them, & blm ES slept the other blm pot. Yes, our thf tanked. Rdm cured tank & the whm cured thf. 2 houred the blm pots & owned the rdm ones regularly. No deaths.
