There is NOTHING you can do legally....since nobody is forcing you to play this game. You play of your own volition and it is your choice to either play or not play. Regardless of the fact that you pay for the game, you are still choosing to pay.

There is NOTHING you can do legally....since nobody is forcing you to play this game. You play of your own volition and it is your choice to either play or not play. Regardless of the fact that you pay for the game, you are still choosing to pay.

Also, you would have to prove that you were somehow injured by Square's inaction. It is one thing when you spill hot coffee in your lap, but try explaining to a judge that the actions of third parties in a game potentially prevented you from claiming a monster that quite possibly could have dropped an item or abjuration that you wanted.

And why stop the law suits at RMT? You could sue them over bots, or players that have a better connection and faster computers than you do, or crappy loot pools.

When peeps were AOL were having connections issues they had a pretty big lawsuit. Sure people were able to connect eventually when they hit sign on 20 times, but most the time they were not getting what they were paying for.

They didn't simply not sign on. Class action lawsuites is ment to get the attention of a comany who's not holding their end of the deal.

Earlier in the thread, It was mentioned that kings where claimed by gilsellers on their server almost 100% of the time. 100% of the time is pretty damn extreme. It the fights cannot be enjoyed by a normal legit player, this to me is no differnet then the AOL thing. Your paying for something your not able to do. (I just really enjoy the king fights, for me it's not much about drops)

I dunno for sure though, that was kinda why I was hoping for a more supported response, instead of a lame repsonse with no evidence to back up their claim. But then again this is prolly the wrong place for that, lol

FFXI is a video game, AOL is an ISP, that's a pretty major difference.

FFXI is a video game, AOL is an ISP, that's a pretty major difference.

SE doesn't guarantee that you have fun in FFXI. They don't guarantee that you'll get a single item in this game, claim a single monster, or even accomplish anything. They haven't failed in holding up their side of the agreement in that respect. So no, there's nothing we can do.
