you can't prove "lack of response". they respond like once a year and they can say the other 11 months they are investigating.

There is NOTHING you can do legally....since nobody is forcing you to play this game. You play of your own volition and it is your choice to either play or not play. Regardless of the fact that you pay for the game, you are still choosing to pay.

Also, you would have to prove that you were somehow injured by Square's inaction. It is one thing when you spill hot coffee in your lap, but try explaining to a judge that the actions of third parties in a game potentially prevented you from claiming a monster that quite possibly could have dropped an item or abjuration that you wanted.

And why stop the law suits at RMT? You could sue them over bots, or players that have a better connection and faster computers than you do, or crappy loot pools.

When peeps were AOL were having connections issues they had a pretty big lawsuit. Sure people were able to connect eventually when they hit sign on 20 times, but most the time they were not getting what they were paying for.

They didn't simply not sign on. Class action lawsuites is ment to get the attention of a comany who's not holding their end of the deal.

As i think someone said, the big difference is that AOL as an ISP is obligated to give it's members access to the internet. Once they are online however, it is entirely up to them what they do. If a 3rd party hacker is disrupting their ability to use the internet, that is not AoL's fault, it is the fault of the 3rd party...which in most cases is very difficult to find.


SE is obligated to give you access to the online world of Vana'diel, once you are there however you are completely at your own discretion. Nobody say's you 'have' to camp HNM's against gil sellers, or buy anything that they sell, that is entirely your choice. If SE however was not allowing people to log on at all, then you would have legal cause for a class action law suit.

there's a fairly new ls on Midgard called redblood. A couple nights ago they were farming Sky and bumrushed the MG spot, except they weren't camping MG. Instead they were down there fighting detectors trying to make SC pop.

on bahamut gils sellers are mostly in sky, but they dont do kirin only the 4 kids and sell the seals, never saw them on kings here but they still after NMs like serket KA etc

Lol, I was duoing Auras with a NIN friend, while dualboxing a RDM @ Ulli and a manaburn PT came up. Buncha gilfarmers, 1BRD,1RDM, 4BLMs all manaburning Aura statues. Well everything was dying and repopping pretty quickly, and as one popped they decided to -GA III it to death. As the spells went off, one of the PHers of Ulli popped and was immediately hit with their GA. I voked it not noticing that, and well...had claim but not hate. Needless to say I "couldnt come to the realization of what I had done" until they all wiped.

Needless to say it was pretty fucking hilarious, and my friend just kinda sat there knowing what I had done, and we said stuff like "I can't pull hate back", or "uh oh I hope they'll be ok" to cover our asses in case they called a GM. They waited for a WHM and ended up leaving, sadly had to camp Aspid before Ulli popped, but I think I scared them off for the day.
