I started it on the 'proud' difficulty, and it kinda takes awhile before you get to the 'actual game with sora' but I wont spoil anything except:

The Gummi ship battles are actually sweet now once you get to them.

Is it still mostly Disney characters as opposed to SE characters? Or is there a good/better/even mix of them this time? Probably too early to tell yet unless you've somehow already beaten the game though.

the second fight against axel is awsome, duel wielding key blades ftw. and the whole cs while your fighting and having to press triangle at the right time is cool, reminds me on shenmue.

Did anyone else on Proud mode get raped by that first boss? I actually had to reset the room a few times to lvl in order to beat him. Maybe it's cause I chose staff + staff >.<

Blows Grandia 3 and Tales of Legendia out of the water (not like they were too special anyway).

Quit your bitching, and realize that they made it so that people that didn't play KH1 and CoM could jump into the game and know what's going on.

Put up with it, trudge through it, skip cutscenes if you're going to bitch about it. Read a faq for that section if you want it to go faster.

Already cleared out a few worlds, am loving what they did to the Gummi Ship runs (because now it seems like [even though I'm not] I'm getting something out of it, because of that stupid ranking system), am loving the reaction commands, loving that you actually have to fucking think while you're fighting rather than just jamming buttons, the Drive system is cool, Limits are cool, god, thank you SE, you have made me believe in you once again.

Edit:

I did want to make a note that Aerith, Cid, and Leon/Squall's voice actors are the worst I've ever heard, to date. Other than that, most of the other VAs are decent/good.

How does saying I loved it come across as me hating it? As I said, I loved it. Never have I seen a four hour long intro, and not being a total waste. Story line is great.

I just spam triangle and X, instead of just X now >.> SE should of done it so the triangle doesnt work if you spam it.

Hahaha, just don't Release your drive or w/e the command is called, because you automatically lose the amount of points for the drive necessary to use it anyway. Just let it run its whole duration, and take whatever xp on it you can get.

LOL I skipped over alot of it actually, most of what makes a GREAT game to me is #1 the story and #2 controls (mainly in battles) so I was thinkin there may be spoilers. As soon as I saw the post about dual weiled keyblades I quit reading it. Im gonna go try to find a copy in the morning, should be too hard I hope. :wink:

I'm three hours into the game and am enjoying every minute of it.

I got the game today right after school at Gamestop. I hate that place, the employees there makes me feel so guilty for not reserving a copy; giving me a long ass lecture just like when MGS3 was released.

both gamespot and ign talked about button mashing and the game being too easy... i'll probably get this and let the button mashing thing slide but would it be better to up the difficulty level on this thing? would level do yall say is best to play at?

ultra super small spoilers, probably not even that:




For me, Up until the Mulan stage (second stage I think), I was doing just fine, didnt use many items, didnt die or anything.

But once I got to the Big heartless in that stage, I just got stomped for the first time. And then several more times.

Then the boss owned me, but.. Mickey came and I could fight using him and Ressurect Sora and the party and continued on to kill the boss.

I had a wtf moment there, I didn't know that would happen if you die sometimes or why it happens.

I never played the first Kindom Hearts, would it totally suck to just to start playing the second one without knowing the firsts story line?
