Haubergeon
OHat
Flame/Rajas rings
Joyeuse
Viking Shield
Amemet Mantle
Homam Feet
Valor Breeches
Ryl Grd Collar
Warwolf Belt
Etc

Really, theres just not great PLD DD gear.

Actually... PLD has access to some of the best DD gear in the game (outside of Adaman Gear).

Haubergeon+1, Dusk Gear, Hecatomb Gear, and a few pieces of Homam are the shit for TPing (I own the legs, and head and feet could also be worthwhile options for DD, hands = Dusk gloves 4tw) . Not to mention the sweet TP growth with Joyeuse/Justice Sword (it's no Ridill/Joyeuse but it's still damn good).

The only limitation PLD has as a DD is somewhat low attack, since PLD has no offensively minded JA/Job Traits. It makes xping as PLD/NIN in Burn parties easy as hell though. Just auto-attack, WS when you get TP, help flash the occasional Whirl of Rage...

When you can get your WS level over 300 I think losing out on one or two JAs isn't really going to matter too much. Factor in PLDs insanely high base STR and you have a winner.

Keeping in mind a similar amount of work and gil placed into gear optimization for Paladins still places it a tier below Ninja in DD capabilities (i.e. merit PT conditions), I'm not sure that this new change in Paladin Square-Enix is planning will allow it to join spam parties or deliver DoT as well as Ninja can.

Random guess, but I think they're just going to give it better damage negation abilities or spells, change shield formulas, or something along the lines that can compete with Utsusemi (which seems to be the point in focus), so that pre-merit camps with sudden death moves or other stuff that currently eats averagely equipped Paladins alive don't turn into Ninja-only deals. (Rancor Den would be my example.)
