Thf hardly sucks with pimped gear and merits. Granted 99% of the thief population even I wouldnt pt with and have left thf pts in Lufaise because I was pumping out 40% of the dmg with 3 others leeching.

Refer to my last ws spam pt with a pimped out war and ninja. Yes they beat me and I worked my butt off always placing myself in the proper position but I was not leeching by any means and can easily outdmg your average to above avg war.

Gotta love Nexus camp. It is my favorite xp spot in sky, weapons got boring and you can chain almost as high at Nexus and get better xp per kill.

Pld can easily out perform any 2handed dd in merit pts, provided they are willing to shell out the money for a build they normally wouldn't otherwise get to use.
I wouldn't be suprised if joyeuse + virtue sword out DoT's axe/axe wars, either.

I would like to see that.. pick ur pimpest drk pimpest war(GAXE) pimpest Samurai and i doubt the pld will be #1 well i know for a fact he aint beating the samurai no matter what gear he has wont touch the drk with souleater and war with all his abilitys... Pld just doesn't have DD abilitys they could do good dmg but vs other pimped melee they will always be second place in the dd department.

Sorry, its true. You're either going pld/nin, which means you lose double attack, lose berserk, never had aggressor, or pld/war, which gives you double attack, takes away a multi-hit weapon from dualwield and forces you to take dmg in the pt. Granted being able to cure yourself kinda negates it, but meh. PLD do get the benefit of being able to get like 305 sword skill though, so its real easy for them to use attack food over sushi and feel absolutely no loss of accuracy.

Because, seriously, paladin doesn't get access to any gear thats better than a normal melee, they just get access to a lot of the same things. And, again, its never a fair comparison to say a pimped out gear-wise job can outparse a non-pimped out geared job. No shit. All that matters is an equal comparison among players with similar gear.

It's because off all the awsome attk+ and str+ swords at endgame compared to the endgame greatswords




funny thing is, this made me realise a counter argument to that I had not though of with equal merits, any War has essentially +7 attk/acc with great axe and any drk has +26(I think?) acc/attk with Scythe so lol to that argument.

I'm not going to argue that even with the best gear I could get my hands on with my PLD, I'll never beat a well geared up Warrior, Monk, or Ninja. It's just fun trying to get the most out of my job and actually proving that at least to some extent PLD can DD effectively.

Like you said being able to Cure is sort of a cute benefit of the job when you're in a DD situation. Throwing out a few cures and a Flash every now and then can help with keeping chains up.

But generally that may be correct, I dunno but the first two are a tossup, a ridill war will be better than your avg mnk but your avg monk will be better than almost any other in ws spam pts just because of their h2h weapons dmg and speed and alll the haste they can get their hands on.

Also unless the ninja is pimped then my thf will own them, and the same with a war without adaberk or lots of other pimped out gear/merits.

Basically if you are pimped out in merits and gear then you can take just about any job and beat most avg melee's, i've proven that by going against 4 war/nins on deco weps where as thf I outparsed them all.

IF everyone is equally pimped then refer to celys analysis. After seeing ridill in action I wonder if even pimped out mnks can out parse them though..

I've exped with another pld who came /thf in Ru'hmet and he was able to do around 1k usually with spinning slash. He had to use a lot of dd gear and sushi to make up for the low rating on GSD but his dmg was close to or a little higher than some drk's I've seen. Once I cap my staff and get thf up a bit higher I want to try Pld/thf on aura pots or some skeletons to see what I can get with SA retribution.

MNK's better just stay in KRT(j/k,j/k lol), MNK is one of the best DD's which their are only 2 WAR and MNK lol. If their was a sky pt with the pimest WAR, and NIN the dmg would be NIN>WAR>MNK in KRT MNK>WAR=NIN.

NIN hit even faster than MNKs even though they don't hit as high or have kick attacks, with DW4 and DA it balances out plus NIN WS's for more on weapons and probally Skeletons aswell.

I think they should nerf WAR and MNK real bad for like 3 months so we can see people saying SAM and DRK fucking own all lol! Maybe then DRK's can finally have a "Drk pt Onry!" pt comment 8) LOL! I think when 1 job gets tha berf another job has to step up.

I think i wanna lvl drk again and pimp out DRK/WAR scythe, With 300+ scythe skill +100 attack +45str(hypothetically) Mmm drk sounds pretty good then lol

In all seriousnes MNK and WAR been out since 2002.. I think this proves equipment & food could change a job and or job priority.

It was a dirty little secret that Mnk and War could beat Rng pre nerf, no one bothered to talk about it though outside of a few posts, probably cuz of the ridiculous amount of defense the Rngs would put up to anything downplaying their supreme DD title.

Sushi helped a lot for the average Mnk and War as well, though meat still holds supreme, sushi is a lot easier to build for.
