i started at ps2 release, and i have whm and smn, and true, i may have my nerdy little hobbies, but i still have an active social life, and go to school, and take time to spend with friends

And 70 is low in ffxi now, get over it. I despise exp outside of specialist pts (krt, manaburn or the newish lufaise thfburn) and I have 2 75's. It only takes about 3 months if you already have a 75 job and have steady income and don't have to stop, and thats taking it SLOWLY. This game has been out for awhile heh..

It is however typical of 95% of the people who post here at an END-GAME FORUM BOARD. You are in the wrong place to bitch about high lvls not having a life because you are severely outnumbered.

I play this game because I honestly don't have anything more entertaining to do. I don't want kids right now, so I don't spend all my time trying to get my dick wet, I don't want regrets so I don't go around getting fucked up on alchohol and drugs. When you are sober and celebate, there is not a whole lot to do and so I set and acheive goals in this game. I have a job, I have a place to live, so the basic necesities are covered. The next step is entertaining myself, and since I only work to support my living, that must mean that whatever I do for entertainment is my life, and since I haven't found anything more entertaining than this game, then I guess FFXI is my life.

Casual players may just now be getting their first job to 70+, but anyone who has been playing even somewhat seriously since PC or PS2 launch is almost guaranteed to have at LEAST one job to 75 and most likely more, and usually if they don't have more than 1, then chances are that their main job is decently pimped out, or in the process of.

Bottom line is, you are in the wrong place to be preaching to people about playing too much. Casual players don't belong in End-Game events, and so they shouldn't be trolling End-Game forums. Thx, GTFO

Either something is true or something is not true. "Where" I say it doesn't change that. 2+2 doesn't equal 5 if I'm at one board and then equals 4 if I'm at another.

I freely admit I spend way too much time and effort on this game, but again, that doesn't change the fact that most people that play the game aren't 70+ on multiple jobs. Which I was correcting. No reason to get some defensive about it: Just because you played 40 hours a week to be among the first people on your server to be camping Fafnir, just because you've been doing this and that for so long and most everyone you associate with with has been as well, doesn't mean the majority of the playerbase is so advanced that 70 is "low". It doesn't matter if it's BG, Alla, Break.com, or IMDB, wherever I post it's still gonna be true.

The last FFXI census was posted months ago and said that like 53% of the players had at least one 75 job.

Regardless of your petty arguements (i.e. i have a life and you don't even though we play the same game and troll the same board LOLZ), the game has been out forever and alot of people are already 75 and that grows everyday.

Surealistic, you're right, but you're never gonna have everyone on their highest job so it's kind of a moot point. It's a Saturday night, when the hardcore players are playing and the casual ones aren't and it's the afternoon in Japan, which had the game for a year longer, and there's still more 10-70s than there is 75s. If there was gonna be more 75s ever, it would be now, so basically the guy's wrong: Maybe 70 is low to his super haijin LS, but not to normal people and there's really no point arguing it.
