Damnation was crap. Ghost reveries made up for it (I like it at least ). Orchid is still my favourite Opeth album though.

I don't think Damnation is crap at all, it's just for certain moods at certain times. My favourites are Still Life and Blackwater Park (<3 Bleak) but I love Ghost Riveries as well, there's just something about the way the whole thing flows. Orchid is great too and when I last saw them live they played Under the Weeping Moon! I'd love to see Forest of October one day though... (and of course Moonlapse Vertigo).

Deftones on the other hand are washed up faggots now... they suck and should NOT be headlining that tour.

Wait for the hook (2:48 ). Shut up, watch it.

Avenged Sevenfold isn't too bad for stuff you see on TV, but it's still far from other metal band that are less popular. I wouldn't buy their album for sure, especially since they all look like fag dressed in gothic emo, but I don't get annoyed when I hear their music

Kissing the shadow by Children of Bodom is one of my favorite song, and one of the most catchy I've heard. Not sure if you will like it since it's different from the stuff stuff you listen, but it's a nice song.

Dragon Force also has some nice catchy metal song. I don't like everything they did, but a lot of their song are pretty good

Iced Earth used to be an awesome band too (look for Damien or a Question from Heaven if you can. I still wet my pant every time I listen those 2 songs)

There is also Iron Maiden who gives us good music for the last 20 years. I liked their first album, but I think I liked the recent one are even better.

Burning Times is the best Iced Earth CD imo.. Dante's Inferno ftw. After that they went on a lame Spawn themed binge (I used collect Spawn too lol). Children of Bodom has some of the best guitar work in current day metal. Hell I just miss Carcass.. Amott went to Arch Enemy and Bill Steer just fucking disappeared basically. Chuck Schuldiner dying also was lame.

Dark Saga was argueably on par with Burnt Offerings. Something Wicked was ok, after that most of Iced Earth's work went down the drain.

As for CoB, meh, their old stuff was orgasmic. After Hate Crew Dethroll, they just fucking went to all thrash and lost all brains and melody behind their music, IMO. Their latest album was terrible.

I heard a few snippets and it sounded like they had maybe gained more songwriting direction on the newer album, is it really that bad?

And <3 me some carcass - btw, bill steer is still around he's just doin a 70's style prog rock type band called firebird.

Haha last CD I have for CoB is Follow the Reaper.. I haven't heard the latest stuff since I do not pay attention to music as much as I used to. Dark Saga was ok, just cheesy when bands do themes based on comic books... was lame when Entombed did Wolverine Blues too lol

Meh, there's maybe 1-2 good songs on it, but its still a whole lot of thrash and random "FUCK" screams to try to act aggresive, i really don't like their "bad boy" theme, i prefered their dark Death theme.

@Eternus, HCDR had some decent songs, but its nothing like FTR. Stick with it if you're not a thrash of chugging riffs and heavy thrash, most of their melodic influences left after FTR.
