correct; for us AV was either using two-hours, or it wasn't.

the last time we fought AV (two weeks ago) we played around with it at spawn for a bit, getting killed by lots of spells and 2-hours (individually-used 2-hours) before killing the 3 wynavs with -ga's and then bringing it to the wall. when it first got to the ball, it cast a few spells at the blm's on the other side, but didn't use any 2-hours. it proceeded to stay at the wall until we got it under 60%. then it got the bracelets out and started using 2-hours again (in groups of 2 or 3, as posted in many other threads). call wyvern spawned 6 wynavs, and we killed them again with -ga's hoping that would seal its 2hrs--it didn't. it eventually got around to benediction, and later it used chainspell+manafont and wiped the blm's.

today, we killed the wyverns but it kept using 2-hours... we brought it to the wall with the wynavs up, then killed them in various ways (it resummoned them a few times). in the process, AV sometimes moved from the wall so people on the south side would have to suicide it back to the sweet spot. at some point during all this, he stopped using 2-hours. when it hit 60% (as previously posted), it got bracelets but didn't start 2-houring again like it did in our last fight.

I would rather get this Earring then the Attack Bonus, even though my BLM is 71 as well.

Anyway I think the WHM deserved it, if its his wish, then let it be. If he plans to level BLM in future its his choice. If the BLMs would hv wanted it so bad they would hv come to Sea more.

Since they are a collection of ppl scattered throughout various LSs, there really is no other way to do it other than points, so i'd say its alright in this circumstance.

If it was a normal LS however, that would be total bullshit, a WHM has 0 use for novio earring. ppl dont realize the button below cast lots that says pass

as far as AV goes it seems to me that just beating on him till he stops doing shit is how you beat him, none of the crazy theories have worked but eventually he gives up i guess, lol.

no, we may try for another 1hr or so, its in 2nd form and we are just out of ideas to make it stop 2hr. we've been trying to kill the wynav asap like you suggested, but it keep doing meteor now.

kinda sucks we are 2/6 on AV, if we lose today, thats 6 jol set wasted ><;; if we lose today we probably won't be trying until someone figure AV out. as of now it just still seems bugged. the 3 LS's that have won have not won consistently to say they figured AV out. right now it just seems to be luck if your AV stops using 2hr. I'll give mad props to the LS that finally figures AV out ><;;

It's about slot potential not overall statistics on an item. You evidentally don't see how straight amazing 7 enmity on an EARRING is. The only thing that comes close that I can think of right now is a Heavens Earring +1 which is only 2. Sure a WHM can easily get 20+ -enmity but getting 7 alone on an earring slot gives you much more freedom in gear swaps when you have to consider your enmity.

Here's how my ls deals with the right job getting items first, while at the same time rewarding people who bust their ass:

In sky anyway, you have two opportunities to earn credits: sky farming on Thursday and demis/kirin on Sunday. Farming earns you 2 credits per hour because it's boring, while demis earns you one credit per hour. Staying the whole time for Kirin nets you 10 credits because it sucks and not everyone gets something.

All of the sellable drops (v.claw, d.log, etc) are sold and added to the bank. At the end of the month, you can either bank your credits to get more of the gil split from the bank, or save them to increase your lotting priority status. If you are going to use these items for getting gear for yourself crafted, you can use some of your credits to buy it from the ls at a 20% discount. At any rate, you still get some of the gil, but the exact amount is determined from an equation, which I can get into more detail if you want.

Lotting on rare/ex items is based off what tier you are on for that item, which is based off your job priority status, and the number of credits you have. For every 50 points you have over the other people that want that item, you move up a tier. For example, our job priority for zenith mitts looks like this:

Aquarian Abjuration: Hands - BLM >>> (RDM, WHM, SMN, BRD)

So say I have 50 points. That means I lot the item before everyone else that has 99 points or less, and is not a blm. In order for a RDM to lot against me, he would have to have 100 points, which takes a long time to do, and to lot before me, he would have to have 150 points, which takes even longer. This system encourages people to come to events, because as long as you help out the ls, it will reward you while at the same time being fair to all jobs. Other items work in a similar way:

Byakko's Haidate - NIN >>> (MNK, WAR) >>> (BST, BRD, RNG, SAM)
W.Abjuration: Lg. - PLD >>> RDM >>> (RNG, DRG, DRK)
Seiryu's Kote - RNG >>> NIN >>> (WAR, MNK, BST, SAM, BRD)
etc.

Osode, pole, and shining cloth are collected by officers, and voted on who gets it based on who ever is the most dedicated, and who has put the most work in the ls outside of sky too. Sea and HNM work in a similar fashion, and snow Dynamis AF can be lotted on by whoever is within 80% of the best person's attendance for that job, with some other restrictions. All of this is meticulously recorded in a huge excel spreadsheet with macros and several worksheets within it for Sea, Sky, etc.

Novio earring would be like BLM >>> RDM >>> WHM >>> Else, so a WHM would have to have 150 credits above all the blm to get that earring, plus be a complete asshole. Not only would a whm never have 150 credits over a blm, but officers would intervene and not let that happen. I don't know how everyone else's ls work in terms of drops, but I am more than happy with mine. Everything is democratic and fair, and your lotting status is viewable by everyone, so there are no surprises. If anyone wants to see our spreadsheet, or the "banking credits to get more gil" thing, I'll see what I can do for you.

In conclusion, a WHM getting Novio is beyond bullshit, especially considering how much work it takes to get to JOL, and I would probably leave the ls if that happened. You should talk to your BLMs Map, because they think that is BS, whether they say anyhting or not.

What I don't get, is if he was indeed in it for the Epeen, why not choose Novia? It's not like Novio is a rarer earring, they both drop off of the same mob, they both basically give the same amount of "E-peen status."
So not only is Novia pimp, it's sure as hell better for his jobs and you're bound to get better responses for wearing it in Jeuno over Novio. (Where there's the chance that someone will call you a stupid lootwhore for lotting a BLM item.) I dunno if he did indeed just do this for his Epeen, it all doesn't add up.

since this is strictly a sea shell, i'm going to assume loyalty is pretty fleeting, thus when you cash out u'll get the most bang for your buck by IGEing aureole, ninurta's sash, or novio earring
