Regarding Novia Earring & WHM thing.

i do like to share my exprience with it, i am a WHM who has a Novia Earring, i can feel the Enmity- on it.

i tested it on EXP PTs & HNM Fights, it's a needed piece for every single whm more than giving it to any other job for show only.

BLM should focus on dmg earrings, i think a novio + mold should be more than good.

if there is any other jobs that should get novia, i say it's bard at the 1st place. next is smn, but smn usually never grab much hate.

From everything I've seen SS is fine with everything, it's the jealous randoms that don't like it. They sound kinda like a Justice League of America but in Al'Taieu, with all the biggest badasses of the NA community teaming up to fight jailers. As such, they can't give things out based upon executive decisions or everyone will suddenly remember all the botting, MPKing, and stealing that they do against each other at camps. So they do points, like real superheroes, and are more successful than any other NA shell on the planet. Don't hate it, we should all aspire to be so successful. Instead we cry about Ix'Drk. GG.

Fixed. You can say you're "helping friends" but when you boil it down, you are basically engaging in the same type of mutually beneficial behaviour. Just because they admit it and quantify it doesn't make it any better or worse.

The WHM getting Novio was a great example of how items don't really fucking matter. ^^ It was fun to kill it, even for the BLM who didn't get the earring, I'm sure.

Well, and take this with a grain of salt from the level 73 blm in seers gear, but I've always felt that an enmity down build for blm is the way to go. Now, my blm was never the best on the server, in terms of gear. At the best point in my blms career, I had 4/8 NQ staves, uggalepih pendant, and leve 54 zircon rings. I did however, have one of them fancy errant capes, so got a penatents robe, wore the errant and AF that gave the most enmity down. Then I ran a little experiment on Fafnir.

The second best blm in our ls (of course I considered myself the best), was one of those all white-border blms where every piece gave MAB, MB additional damage, or INT, and he really could post some impressive numbers on individual nukes. Anyways, we tag fafnir, and I start the parser. The entire fight I only cast flood, cause I get kicks out of AM. So about 2 skill chains in, the 'uber' blm MBs for like 1800 damage, and promptly dies. I keep on throwing my floods at him, doing either 100, 500, or 1k damage. Interestingly, you can't nuke when you're dead. I end up not dying the entire fight, and parsing 20k damage to fafnir, to his 12k damage.

The lesson here is, that by pulling less hate per nuke you do, you can nuke more, and do more damage. Enmity down > damage up.

So for those that think novio earring is the shit for blm, in reality the novia earring is a far better aquisition. Novia + Moldavite is a better set up than Novio + Moldavite, although ideally both earring ftw.
