    Checking ToAU's preorder reqs.

I'll probably get timeline.jpg'd on this, but whatever, I'll take the chance someone here *doesn't* know this.

Someone tipped me off to check POL's site, and sure enough, ToAU is being shipped only on DVD that I can see, even checked Amazon to confirm. Granted, DVD drives aren't exactly an earth-shattering expense, but if you don't have one, it's likely you may want to know it's DVD-onry before it arrives and you can't install it.

if you have a computer in your house with a DVDrom in it, have them networked, you can share the root of the DVDrom on the other computer with read/write access then open it on your other PC via My Network Places, locate the executable and install from there. It will take a little longer to install because of network transfer and such, but it wont be too bad

edit: its cheaper to make a dvd nowadays than it is to make a CD, and since its probably 2 cds worth of content, I wouldnt be suprised if they did make it dvd and assumed people would conform. Or they listed the PS2 version description, which would classify it as a dvd the

Again, I'm only speaking on what I've seen so far, so if anyone has information on a download (buy a CD-Key off Square's website?) or a place where it is being sold CD-ROM, feel free to say so.

Because it'll help me out. I'm too lazy to install a DVD-ROM drive. >_>; Hell, I should check if I even have one when I get home.

    lol

I'll figure out a way to distribute the DVD image, you'll have to buy your own copy though for reg. codes.

I'll be getting the NA version, so contact me the day of/after on AIM if you want it, we'll work out a distribution system where people will send to others after they get it or w/e.

there's no reason to ship it on DVD, as it's probably going to only be 1 disc, though if it's two discs I'll get the DVD version

    ...no.

    FFXI+ROZ where on 4 CDs.

    COP was 2.

Then SE releaded the Vana'diel collection, FFXI+ROZ+COP on one DVD. Guess what, the DVD won't work on a cd-rom drive.

That doesn't even make sense. If it's a DVD-ROM, you can't install it without a DVD drive. lol.

The picture is not the reliable part of amazon.com information. I ordered an MP3 player back in the day because it had FM radio as well, in the pic. I tried to get them to give me the "pictured" mp3 player but they insisted I should have read the technical specifications page.

For people without a DVD drive

    Step one. Buy game.

    Step two. http://www.isohunt.com

    Step three. Download ToAH.

Step Four. Boot the ISO with Daemon tools.

    Step Five. Dance.
