If you can't spend $15 for a damn DVD drive, why are you spending $13+ a month on a game plus an extra $40 (guessing price, don't know how much it is) for the expansion itself if it were to come out on CD-ROM.

Standards are changing... catch up or be left in the dust. Most comptuers these days have DVD drives. More and more games are being released on DVD. Get one and get over it. If your laptop dosent have one, it's time to upgrade. Even shitty budget computers these days includ DVD drives.

You may have to take an hour out of your gametime and spend 15 bucks on a new DVD drive at your local computer place. They are standard issue now, just like fuel injection on your average family sedan, times are changing.

Like several have said most high end games nowadays are swaying towards DVD rather than CD.

You'll have to do it sooner or later, so why not now.

Because I budget my one thing of "fun" a month, and that's FF. The rest is bills. I see no further reason to justify any of this. I preordered this likea month and a half ago, and if I had known at the time I wouldn't have recently blown all the extra money on groceries and set off 20$ for a DVD ROM. But nowhere on the receipt did they tell me I had just reserved a copy of ToAU DVD-ROM. Just straight up ToAU. I figured since CoP was CDROM I didn't see why ToAU wouldn't be too.

But I can see now it's cheaper for them, just sucks I didn't know up front, I probably should have asked looking back O WELL.
