OH YEAH, heads up, I believe that that new "Top mage" gear, gives Auto-refresh, because the Blue mage in that party (Julias) was wearing the full set and was gaining 1 mp/tic, it may be a trait, may have been due to the debug mode, but she wasn't /smn as she uses Cure III alot.

hmmm, you know, i'm seriously begining to think that BLU could be a competent tank with the right abilities set. It's all dependant on how much the abilities cost however as far as points, and there's a chance it won't be possible till like 60+ (when they start getting AoE stun and icespikes/def up from sea mobs), but theres always hope for new tanks^^.

It's possible, but a bit too much to hope for, I'd say.

Even in hindsight, there are still a few people who try to say things like SAM and MNK were meant to be tanks, and point to enmity on SAM AF, and Counter, Dodge, Chakra, HP Bonus, etc. on MNK to try to prove their point. Nonetheless, find me an HNMLS that use SAM and MNK tanks, and I'll admit the possibility that BLU might actually be a tank.

A MNK can tank just fine with the right gear which every other DD MNK don't bother to get. Well, in levelling PTs pre KRT that is.

Maybe its 1MP/tick for each piece you wear? Seems sorta pointless if its 1MP/tick with all 5. Unless it also have lots of hMP with the auto refresh..that would rock.

Yeah, trioed Chary as a BLM with a BRD and MNK. BRD used double mambo or mambo/march.. can't remember. Was a while ago.

Honestly, I think MNKs are better tanks for Chary than NINs because of their massive HP. I saw a JP NIN go down in 5 seconds flat THROUGH shadows after voking Chary when he popped. Then it proceeded to kill their entire party. :D I lasted longer than them by kiting it with Gravity/Bind until my linkshell got there.

Almost tanked the Yagudo SMN Boss in Tememos Central until its elemental decide Stonega III and Astral Flow'd Titan oneshotted 90% of the alliance :D

MNK has high evasion and wearing an SH, Op, eva torque, and getting bard songs it should be cake for them on something like Chary. A NIN not even wearing a huge evasion set can survive on Ni only with a bard, provided it isn't spamming AoE, which is why you make melee sit back and watch and have like 2 people kill.

A mnk/nin DID tank my charby, he just popped fists at the start if I remember and never lost hate lols, nobody died either, easiest charb ever.
