Hmm all the new jobs look awesome lol... gonna have to level each of them... and will need subjobs to match.. goddammit
I think this particular update only has the model files, which somewhat makes sense. I've seen models for the 3 new job's AF, the NPC Assualt armors, a couple 'relic'-ish weapons, and then the strings already posted.
Adding the actual item data (stats) that connect to a model is easy and a lot smaller of a download. This data will probably be released in a later when ToAU is actually released. They're just trying to get the larger part of the patch out now, to relieve some of the stress the servers will get next Tuesday.
Of course, I could been wrong and the new item data could be hidden in there somewhere, but I give up on looking for that right now. For now, I'm just gonna find the mithra BLU / COR AF dats and run around with those on ingame. >_>
That would be sexy lolOriginally Posted by Demosthenes11
I wonder if BLU can get a tank build going by abusing KV's draw-in ability...could be hot.
edit: budd at least learn to take the "none"s out...But maybe it's a PH for an additional zone!
haha, BLU is gonna catch hell on the beaches in the dunes dropping those direction attacks on pugils on accident I can't wait for the madness
that was on the timeline in the Fan Festival, it won't be open till like the August or October patch.Originally Posted by WizerdRemora
I see bomb toss, bomb explosion (that gives you weakness after, lol), bad breath, Sea Pot spikes (enhances defense and gives ice spikes <- pimpp). I wanna lvl blu now. The stat thing is also very interesting for some setups.
Sounds a hell of a lot like FF8, I believe junctioning was the term they used. I guess we'll find out if it actually works, because this has the potential to offer the most customizable class available to date; however, some setups are going to be a hell of a lot better than others (i.e. tanking abilities are really weak but support/DD abilities are more powerful, hypothetically). Even if they intended the job to be customizable to DD, tank, or support, odds are there will be one that gets overutilized relative to others.Originally Posted by layoneil
At least in the first few weeks people can do whatever job combo they want without people shouting noob ... since nobody knows for sure what is viable ^^;
People still level in dunes? lewlOriginally Posted by ddazska
Yeah from the sounds of all those different aoes the job is gonna require alot of attention to play without mpking your party constantly.

Since there aren't any actual items updated here, we won't put out a Compilation of Info yet; that will wait for the full update. Those tidbits of text are interesting to think about, though.
And with that out of the way, I'm back to trying to get info updated from the last expansion, before the next one hits...![]()
Could be, similar to Apollyon, Temenos, and the Emperial Paradox since they all had name changes before they were introduced into the game.Originally Posted by budd
I wonder if all the TP abilities can only be used if you have over 100 TP? Well maybe its good they have A- in sword cause they are going to need it.
And will these abilities be on timers. There is Blue Chain and Blue Burst, could it end up being like Blood Pacts?
Lower Promivian? :O I forget what the others were....Originally Posted by Septimus

I can't find anymore .dat information that can be opened with notepad =P. I probably missed the .dat that has job abilities and job traits. Someone go find that, it'll have the new JAs added from the job balance.
If you have any idea how to parser these things all of the patch information is located in:

I'd love to see what the models look like but I don't know a good way to access the new .dats. Blu certainly comes off as a very flexible job with the way they can change their builds just from what spells they can use. I wonder what kind of builds will people use the most often by time the first wave of 75 blus come around.
